Why does he have to do it against the number 2 team in the country? I'm pretty sure he looked poised and confident against Florida in his first start ever. I'm not saying he's a world beater, but for a true freshman, he's certainly turning some heads.
The tendencies I see in Manziel actually seem like the kind that players don't shake. So that scares me. It's too early to tell but I don't see him starting 2 years from now. He seemingly finds a way to feel pressure that isn't there and run around like a jabroni against a team I've never heard of with a top 3 oline in the country.
Grow up and/or take it to the D&D grandpa. And yes "grow up" and "grandpa" contradict but you get it.
Is that sickening too?? Take your beliefs to the D&D, and stop derailing the TEXAS A&M FOOTBALL THREAD with that crap. 70-14. That's all I care about right now.
I have the same fears, because I also noticed that he was tucking and running from pressure that wasn't there. Right now, he seems to be relying too much on his athleticism and not trusting his receivers enough to make a play. There was one play in particular (3rd & 5) on the opening drive where that was evident. He had a receiver wide open running an IN across the middle of the field, but instead of making the throw, he decided to put the ball down, and try and run it himself. As the game went on though, he got better at making throws, but against Alabama and LSU, tucking and running isn't gonna get him anywhere. Those linebackers will eat his lunch. However, again, as a freshman, I think he's better than any of us expected. If he CAN improve on the mental aspect of the game, he has the physical tools to be something special.
The kid plays well against a good Florida defense and plays very well in his next two games. He hasn't had a bad game yet. But he needs to do it against LSU before we can acknowledge that he has performed well especially for a freshman? Yeah...let's listen to the kid from Rice. They usually know so much about good college football. Laughable.
Says the guy who claims "power conference teams" don't lose to mid major conference teams. What a stupid comment that ruined your credibility. Kansas and Arkansas say "hi" http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=7162323&postcount=132
Yeah...I haven't forgotten about our last discussion about football. I'll be thinking about you when I watch the Aggies beat La Tech on October 13. Funny how you never responded to my wager proposal. I repeat two weeks without posting to the loser. If A&M beats La Tech, you don't post for two weeks. If A&M loses, I will not post for two weeks. I suppose you will fail to respond to this proposal, as when called out in such a manner you generally exhibit a lack of testicular fortitude.
I don't make bets like that. Many posters have tried to in the past, and this has always been my response A&M will probably be favored slightly in the game. Just slightly though, and a La Tech win isn't out of the question I'm not sold on the Aggies, ESPECIALLY on the road
Not sold on A&M on the road? They won their only road game 48-3. Also take into account that was with the backup QB in the third quarter and the third string QB in the fourth quarter. Will A&M have some troubles on the road? Miss State, Auburn and Alabama will be very tough road games. La Tech will be more like SMU than any of those SEC road games.
La Tech is closer to Ole Miss than SMU in terms of how good the team is. SMU is completely garbage. They beat SFA 52-0 and still their offense wasn't that great. They played horrible vs Baylor too. La Tech >>>> SMU I think A&M will end up beating La Tech, but a win for La Tech isn't absurd.
They have become 2011 UH West, same plays. QB even looks like Keenum. Until he takes helmet off or runs.
UH fans wouldn't stop jumping up and down like school girls over Keenum breaking records against weak competition in a pee-pee offense. We don't do that here.
