I think the plan all along was to redshirt Weigman. No need to rush Weigman into the lineup when you have both King and Johnson on the roster. I thought Johnson would be the best choice starting the season. But, I can understand Jimbo wanting to give King a chance. I saw Weigman in high school and the guy looked amazing. Haven’t seen many high school QB’s that could throw the ball like that. So, I expect Weigman to be in the lineup next season.
Exactly this. King was beyond awful. It was absolutely a team loss, but he was just impossibly inept out there.
Texas A&M commissions more officers than any other university, except the service academies. The University commissions officers into all six branches of the service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine).
Not a great win Miami shot themselves in the foot way too much and the crowd really got to them. Johnson looked much more composed but still not very effective but that could be because steward was out and needing to be more comfortable running the offense. The line looked better and they got the ball in the playmaker's hands. Defense looked good, especially with all the DB's out. Noticed the stud freshman d-linemen did not play much, disappointed in the pass rush. Shemar Stewart looked good though and he is a freshman on the d-line.
Important win for the Aggies. I’m not sure how good Miami is at this point, but this win gives the Aggies some hope for the rest of the season. The defense was pretty solid. The Aggies have some impressive weapons on offense, so the potential is there if they can get their act together. The offensive line should improve as they play through this season. Max Johnson provided some stability to the offense in my opinion. Achane is a really good running back, but I think Jimbo should mix things up a little bit and get LJ Johnson more touches. Johnson is a bigger back that can do more than just carry the ball in short yardage situations. Next weeks game against Arkansas should be entertaining.
2.5 point favorite over number 10 Arkansas in Dallas. I just don’t see it. The defense is good, but the offense is the worst I’ve seen it in a long time. Johnson looked better at QB, but that’s not saying much. They have a long way to go.
Not that impressed by Johnson but he did what he needed to do, and he did not have Stewart, I think once the oline settles in we will see a big difference. I just think the offense is young, I hope.
Without that fumble at the goal line by Arkansas returned for a 90+ yard touchdown, I think the Hogs would have run away with the game. They were visibly deflated from that point on.
I agree, but that's the fun of college football momentum change. The Defense got much better after that as well.
It’s pretty baffling. The scheme is too vanilla and the execution isn’t good either. They seem to have bought into the hype and forgotten how to back it up. They’re simply not very good this year.
TCU being the best football team in the State of Texas is not something I would have expected a month ago. @Uprising
The Aggies got steam rolled by MSU. That wasn't even close. I have never liked Fisher, so I will blame him.
