bigtexxx can't brag about anything with Rice sports that he has to resort to trashing other schools' facilities. How pitiful. Stick to talking about academics, texxx, although I was just looking at MBA admissions earlier and saw that Rice was ranked 30th LOL, below distinguished academic institutions such as Arizona State. By comparison, my alma mater UT is 17th while the undergraduate business school I went to is top 10 in the nation. I'm embarrassed for the city of Houston that our premier academic institution, Rice has fallen off so hard academically.
1) LMAO at the micro sub-rankings you have to refer to. I went to Rice undergrad. US News & World report overall ranking is all that matters. I don't care if UT-Austin branch has the best "public school geography major in the country". Rice humiliates UT-Austin branch is USNWR. 2) you went to Texas State, not UT-Austin branch. Please don't try to pass yourself off as a UT-Austin branch alum 3) I dominate your thoughts and control your emotions
Not sure if I'm supposed to post this in the maroon thread or the orange thread. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>I love that Austin, Texas was the second highest rating in the country for Bama-A&M.</p>— Clay Travis (@ClayTravisBGID) <a href="https://twitter.com/ClayTravisBGID/statuses/379400775946215425">September 16, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
1) Micro-sub rankings are what matters. Did you study all the majors at Rice or did you just study one or a couple? Informed people make decisions based on rankings for majors. Of course a school as big as UT will have its overall ranking be dragged down by subpar majors. The McCombs School of Business at UT is a top 10 program. Top 10 in architecture, top in advertising, etc. I don't take much stock in overall rankings, I'm not a US History major at UT so why should I care if its program lags behind causing the entire university rankings to dip? 2) I went to Texas State? Weird, my UT degree says otherwise. Now you're just making stuff up. As we all know, once you have to resort to making up lies in an argument, you have already lost.
You got beaten up a lot as kid, didn't you? That would really explain your general behavior. That, or you are just a product of very poor upbringing.
lol parental upbringing smack? About as classy as all the drunk Aggies I had to be near while I was at the game on Saturday. So much trashy folk there.
I've mentioned this here before but it makes sense to bring it back up now. Last year I was introduced to Rick Smith by a mutual friend at the LSU game. I asked who he was scouting and he declined to comment, but he did say "that Mike Evans kid looks like a pro". I think he'll need to have a solid combine to go high. Tall receivers that aren't fast have a tendency to suck in the pros.
His ability to catch the ball up high in traffic is what's intriguing about Evans on the next level. His speed is problematic, but if he can continue to improve his route running, I think there is a spot for him in the NFL.
Pretty entertaining game, though Bama would win, but was hoping A&M would. Defense stunk it up as expected, but on both sides...JM got away with some crazy plays but he doesn't play defense...
Wow. The Alabama/Aggie game pulled in the highest TV ratings for a regular season Saturday afternoon game on CBS in 23 years.
I know that many don't think Johnny Football has a prayer in the NFL; that he will be crushed like RGIII. Not sure about that. I think he is more durable than he looks. He is amazingly elusive, and can innovate at a very high level. Not sure there has ever been anyone like him. Fran Tarkenton?
In three months people are going to be talking Heisman and they're going to say, "Hey, remember what Manziel did to Alabama? Threw for like 500 yards!"
