OK what if someone called him a murderer or a rapist or a thief? (and they were all unfounded and untrue)

Is a racist remark to you the worst insult?

saying no does not mean a racial insult is alright.

I don't read this forum everyday so I cannot speak to conversations that do not involve me.

My problem is that Obama is being treated (in the general media and the republicans) with kiddie gloves compared to the clintons and mccain (during the 2000 election) yet people are reacting like insults and mudslinging is something new in politics

they said mccain was nuts, clinton's were killers and liars.

    political and everyday.
    general context.

For instance if someone called my wife a chink I would laugh at their small brain. If they called her a slut I would issue a beating.

This is how I thought about what is a worse insult. I cannot "prove" one is worse because I am not socrates.

Thus if you think "balack" is worse than calling mccain crazy or Hillary "hitlery" thats fine.

You do need to understand that the insults are politcally motivated rather than racially motivated. And motivation is HEAVILY involved with morals.

it doesn't matter what the motivation is, you keep trying to justify racism because its politics, we're back to that

    motivation does matter in morals.

if you disagree than I have no way to talk about morals with you because I do not understand your theory of moral basis.

Calling someone crazy is not worse (IMO). Hitlery is about the same.

But I disagree that calling him Balack is necessarily politically motivated. That has nothing to do with his position, style of leadership or anything else.

Hitlery, and crazy calls into question Hillary's leadership style, and Crazy calls into question McCain's leadership style or inability to govern because of something.

Balack only calls into question one thing... his race. It doesn't have anything to do with his leadership style or any positions he has taken.

    LOL!

ok sorry, morals are used to judge right and wrong, and the severity of how right or wrong something is.
