no its is the point. if people's attacks on politicians does not change (ie offensive nicknames)
but the reaction of these attacks changes because of the canidates race, thats totally unfair.

Nobody EVER pulled punches on GeorgeB43 or Bill (or his entire freaking family including 13 year old daughter) why are nicknames now terrible offensive?

Calling an innocent 13 year old girl a "dog" is worse than calling Obama "Balack".

being black, I was really trying to avoid calling out wnes but apparently he's harboring some anger about how supposedly the black established basketball media treats yao so he's taking it out on obama.

who called a 13 year old girl a dog? and what does that have to do w/ bush or obama or any politician?

there is a difference b/t nicknames and attempts to slander based on race or religion. its not that difficult a concept, but apparently you still arent getting it.

when tradertexx brings up the fact that he is 'half-balack' it is obviously an attempt at race baiting, as if being of mixed race is something bad. people call him on it and he pretends to act all innocent.

It'll get worse. The RNC is polling on how far they can push the envelope...

You can already see it taking shape... expect them to turn "urban" into a synonym for black, which has the added benefit of demonizing those scary places Liberals live, like NY City and San Fran.

because they'll be behind, there will be a really nasty campaign designed for the sole purpose of driving Obama's negatives up. I think they know they have no chance at winning, but if you can drive his negatives up considerably with all the money available during the campaign, you can really hamstring his ability to get things done as President. If that happens, they can then say, "See, he was so inexperienced he couldn't get anything done."

The great problem with this strategy is the concentration on the Executive Branch, leaving the Dems to increase their margins in the House and Senate and therefore possibly counter the negative stuff thrown at Obama.

And really, "perceptions of intolerance?" More like the reality of intolerance.

The reaction is due to attacks on and because of his race. I expect people to talk about him but there are more attacks against Obama than Hillary or McCain combined. Check the forum.

Why do you have that signature if I might ask? I tend to believe that you Texx and Jorge run in the same group.

...and the liberals have already labeled anything negative about Obama into racial attacks, race baiting, and intolerance. That's far worse in my mind...limiting free speech

    OK moral discussion here:

Is it really "more" wrong to call someone Balack (considering he is Black and being Black is not an insult) than any other nickname we have had for any other politician for hundreds of years?

It an offensive nickname and thats it.

At the other end of the spectrum if he EVER got called the things GWB is called or Hillary is called than people would go ballistic.

Thus the moral of the thread, do not attack Obama or you will be called a racist no matter how light the attack was.

Bingo. W has been called a chimp for 8 years by the libpigs. Methinks the liberals would hypocritically cry foul if Obama were called the same name.

Hmm, I never brought nor thought about bringing Yao Ming into the Obama debate, but I do know you, SamFisher, and KingCheetah did. Talk about calling out race baiting ... LOL ... is jo mama still on board?

Hey, since we are on the topic, I am sorry Jay Williams wasn't picked by the Rockets. You really need to get over it.

its race baiting, considering you already admit that the spelling is about his race. so if you don't have a problem with race baiting that's your perogative.
