texx/jorge - your attempts at race baiting are obvious to all. me thinks you are the one who needs to grow up.

as far as your newfound support for all things hillary, i guess we shouldnt make fun. it must be very confusing for a neo-con bootlicker when their idols limbaugh and (m)ann coulter tell them to support her. for the last 15 years you have been told that hillary is all things evil and now all of a sudden you are told to support her. poor guy. :(

Yes, and those polls tend to close as the election gets closer. Nationally, he has won whites and hispanics in plenty of states, as well as young voters, old voters, conversative, liberal, and moderate voters, so his widespread appeal isn't really in question.

lol nice backtrack. We're getting pretty close and there's been a lot of election coverage already in Texas.

nice of you to stand down, private.

So your one poll outweighs all of the completed primaries which have clearly shown that he is reaching out to every racial group? OK!

Umm, the last primary was Feb 19th. It's now Feb 21. The Texas primary is March 4th. He's been campaigning in Texas for 3 days now - out of two weeks remaining. Your definition of "getting pretty close" is as dumb as everything else you've posted about this election.

bigtexxx- like all others are saying, your attempts to drag race into this are pretty ridiculous. you are ridiculing Obama's campaign for having a black base, and not others. futhermore, you are interntionally misspelling his last name and using his middle name to create a negative illusion. im sure if he wanted to go by Hussein Ubama, he would have put it on the posters. thats how youre making it sounds like a bad thing. If you expect to be taken in any way objectively, then give the man the respect he deserves. call him BY HIS NAME.

hes won 10 straight, and hes done a damn good job of involving new demographics in the election. you say he has a 'black base.' its more like hes appealed to black voters and brought them out to get involved. thats more than any other candidate can claim. theyve always been there, and not everyone has appealed to them. even now, hes getting a lot of flack from the African-American community. im guessing you might be getting a little scared that white isnt the only color thats showing up at polling stations and rallies. just cause a person is mobilizing a race, doesnt mean that its their base. if that does happen to be the case, then it is painfully obvious (jesse jackson). just because the man isnt as good a speaker as a woman whose been in front of cameras for a very long time, doesnt mean he is incompotent. Hillary, with her mechanical nature is proving to be a greater sophist than expected. We are witnessing Obama's rise as the Representative Man, and Hillary is getting desperate. So too are people like you, those who are too ignorant to recognize change and embrace it, instead, you chose to ridicule a candidate who can inspire people.

Hussein Ubama always makes a point to bring up race - like he did in the debate tonight after he talked about "racial lines"....then had a pause for the clapping from his duped supporters that he's used to...that never came...it fell flat

I'd love to embrace change, but I can't figure out what the clown stands for. He's all fluff and WORDS (xeroxed words, at that). His supporters are duped into thinking he's some charismatic leader (Osteen-like) because he can tilt his head back and use his deep voice to reference hope and change. I care about substance, and that's the farthest thing from BHU. I think the dems are going to wake up in a month or so and have significant buyers' remorse.

Oh there is simply no question that a vote for Obama by blacks is a racial pride vote. A vote for Obama by educated whites is a charity vote because it makes them feel good and altruistic. Asians and Latinos don't identify with either of these rationale for voting for Obama, and logically it follows that they are not voting for Obama. This validates my reasoning.

what are you guys going to say about (IF) obama becomes president for 2 terms. he retains high approval ratings throughout his 8 years. brings down gas prices to a reasonable level for a country that relies on it. and gets us out of this worthless war and focus on things that actually keep us safe instead of make the entire world practically look at us with disgust.

meaning what if those things happen and this country stops this downward spiral its in. which result in said high average approval ratings for obama.

will obama still only talk of "hope and change" but actually gets it done. will there be a chance that he would/will be/ end up being a better president then george bush?

this are all (IFs) but what if they happen. im curious what would be your take on obama as a whole, and what would you think of a comparison of bush vs. obama? as in who was better for this country

thanks for any replies. im really curious about what anyone would think.

I am a college educated white male and I'm not voting for Obama out of sympathy to blacks. I'm voting for him out of agreement on policy and because he inspires me, unlike other politicians who want me to vote for them because I'm less fearful of them than their opponent.

    I think you forgot this:

I didn't know his middle name is Hussein. I knew his dad was Muslim but I never heard his middle name before.

It's good you could avoid it for a while. Faux news, Rush, et al will be using that middle name from now until November.

Just remember that Obama is also, really and truly, related to Dick Cheney.

copied this from a thread on politico, pure brilliance

Barack Obama beat Hillary Clinton for the ninth and tenth straight time last night, with blowouts in Wisconsin and Hawaii. Needless to say, this means nothing. As Clinton strategist Mark Penn explained yesterday, Wisconsin has a lot of independent voters, so it doesn’t really matter. And Hawaii is practically Obama’s home state, so it obviously doesn’t matter. Anyway, as Penn said recently, “winning Democratic primaries is not a qualification or a sign of who can win the general election.” It’s apparently not even a sign of who can win the Democratic nomination — at least not when the victories are Obama’s.

Nebraska, Idaho and Utah didn’t matter because they were deep-red states. South Carolina, Louisiana and Georgia didn’t matter because they had large percentages of black voters. Maine and Washington didn’t matter because caucuses aren’t truly representative. Maryland and Virginia didn’t matter because Obama was expected to win there. For a moment, it looked like Missouri might matter when the networks called it for Hillary — her campaign quickly bragged about winning a “closely contested toss-up state” — but the networks were wrong.

It turns out that the only state Obama won that could have mattered was Illinois, his real home state; unfortunately, home-state victories don’t really count, except when they take place in New York. “Could we possibly have a nominee who hasn’t won any of the significant states outside of Illinois?” Penn recently asked.

Yup, and I'd start with the little immaturity with the nickname 'Huissen Ubama'.
