The largest ad space in pro sports. Great the largest screen in pro sports and still only 3 replays per game.

It's something a lot of teams are doing. A lot of people prefer to watch games from home. There are several reasons why, but one is so that they can keep up with their fantasy team.
yup, even during timeouts, halftime, they had that sideline reporter that reported Fantasy Stats during the game in stadium
It looks like the screen will be less distracting than the one in Dallas. In Cowboy Stadium I catch myself watching the screen instead of live action which I don't like to do.
Yeah. Basically looks like they'll show stats/ads during the game at the same dimensions of the old screen, with the middle portion being reserved for the live game action. They'll probably use the entire screen for TD replays, or for their occasional messages of "get loud!, first down!" etc. You knew they weren't going to sacrafice all the ad space they currently had up there with the old boards.
Great. Now we get to see Shane Lechler's punt up close and personal. Lawd knows we don't get first downs.
So it looks like they'll use 1/3 of the screen for action. Using the scoreboard comparison above, that would put it in the middle of the pack of other stadiums. I was hoping bigger, but still much better than before!
Well, they couldn't really make it taller, so they made it wider. And in order to keep the aspect ratio, they can't use the whole thing for video. Still, it's the 3rd tallest video board in the league behind Dallas and Tennessee (Titans board is 54' tall, Texans' is 53'). So even if they're not taking advantage of the entire board for video, the video portion won't be "middle of the pack". It'll be 3rd biggest at worst because teams with shorter boards can't show an overall larger video image without stretching the aspect ratio. Houston is now THE city for video boards. Texans - #1 in the NFL Astros - #4 in MLB Rockets - #1 in the NBA
And the city of Houston is paying for all of them (Not sure about astros), and will get no real benefit.
