I was about to talk about David Carr and how that last fumble really, really ticked me off...and then Jerome Mathis breaks loose.

Carr is leading them back because he did not fumble. Good job David. Alexi will stay on the bench for a while.

i could feel you on all this if the texans weren't so bad. look, i want VY to do well, and consequently, what he does well is win. i wanted him to carry the texans to many wins for many years. i want success for the texans and i hope they win next week, but it is infuriating that we have carr insted of vince, infuriating.

Man, has there even been a worse game in which 14 pts for each time have been scored? Neither offense can do sh*t!

I would like to see us take Kevin Kolb in the 2nd or 3rd round and use him to light a fire under David's butt the way Cutler and Romo have been used this season.

With the competence Carr has displayed, the organization has to. David has proved NOTHING this year. A golden opportunity with a new coordinator, new head coach and guess what? ... SAME OLD SH*T!!!

    that's how i feel.

but people act like arrogant asses about it. I want him to do well. But not agaisnt the Texans, because that is who I root for. I will not change allegience because of one player who never played a game in the NFL.

I wanted Vince Young. But we didn't, and I was upset about it for a few weeks, but I got over it.

Back in 99, I wanted Rashard Lewis. He was a hometown kid. He would have helped the Rockets tremendously. It stung for a bit, but I moved on. I wished him well with Gary Payton in Seattle. Except for when he played agaisnt the Rockets.

    I moved on.

but this is about the texans and raiders.

    RAIDERS SUCK.

    MOss sucks.

For some people, loyalty to a franchise comes from where they live. For others, it's developed over time by following a team. The Texans haven't developed a loyalty in their fan base like the Rockets or any other team that's been around forever. Vince DID built that loyalty due to his exploits at UT. Some people had been following Vince before the Texans even existed. So it's not surprising that people would have split loyalties, especially when the team they want to be loyal to makes bad decision after bad decision.

To expect people to just root for a team they have no connection with and with no history with for no reason other than that it plays in Houston is unrealistic and a bit silly.

it would have been better for the raiders to make that field goal.
    why you ask?

because then the raiders would have to kick it off to mathis, and mathis would run one back.

now that he missed, the texans get it back, and carr has to handle it.

i would have rather taken the made FG.

If the Texans have been around for 40 years, instead of four, would it have been different?

Winston isn't a "bookend" tackle... they'll be moving him to guard next year, and they'll get another tackle in the draft.
