Carr had a monster game...oh wait... seriously, a win is a win...I wish we had a better quarterback, but he plays for the Titans...
If that game was a movie, it would be called Ishtar. It was like the Keystone cops put on the Texans and Raiders uniforms. I saw some glimmers of hope for the Texans, but they were all on the defense.
That was a GREAT effort by Carr. He tried as hard as he could to get the loss for the Texans, but Ron Dayne had to go and mess everything up. The Raiders just wanted it more, I guess. Too bad, though. The Texans pretty much eliminated themselves from contention for the #1 pick. It's a shame that they'll waste all those poor performances from this season.
Pretty much the worst possible outcome of the day... Win by being less awful than the other team (therefore not sparking a "winning culture") and lose ground in draft positioning.
I Can't believe that Kubiak said on Channel 13's "Inside The Game" that Carr pushed his team to victory!!! What a load of crap!!!!
He knows DC will be gone after this season. It's not even worth wasting his time getting crap started with the media...especially not before next weekend's game.
Funny part is, we played about as bad as you could.....and still won. So we aren't the worst team in the league, like many like to say. Although, we really need a lot of work to become anywhere near respectable......unless you're the Jags...then you better know WHO'S YOUR DADDY. I think we should trade down this season and draft the spots that really need work.
Agreed. Now that it appears DC is on his way out, this team needs a QB that they can rally around. I think that's the biggest part of VY's mystique in Nashville. That team looks like they are ready to die for him. I think that Carr's lost this team. Big picture, I still blame CC for that but either way it's time to move on.
I watched that interview. What I got out of that interview was, "yeah, i know he sucks, but i'm not gonna pile on." he kept uncomfortably smiling and saying, "well, you know we just had no passing game today." David Carr's post-game interview was much more of the "load of crap" variety. The smiling...the giggling talking about how poorly he played. Yeah, that pretty much sucked.
Kubiak pretty much avoided David Carr in all of the interviews I saw, he did go out of his way to be very complimentary to the defense and rightfully so, hopefully this is the last season for Commander Carr. The city as a whole are done with him, props to Coach for trying to help him but sometimes it is just better to move on; maybe it will be better for Carr as well but at this point I dod not care.
As for the next draft, in most years a first round pick in the #5 range (where the Texans will probably be drafting), plus a second round pick in the #5 range, can get you the #1 overall pick in a trade. So there is still hope that Brady Quinn Medicine Man will be here next year without tanking the rest of the games.
I don't want Carr anymore but I don't want to throw another rookie QB back there until we know we can prot3ct him, please build this team from the ground up...
i know..i feel the same way. but they're gonna have to have someone play QB next season. will it be sage??? who will it be?? i think kubiak has shown he's lost confidence in carr. i think you saw that big time yesterday. so what's next??? brady quinn??? some journeyman?? seriously, this gets worse every week.
get a journeyman qb's, don't draft one this year, last year was the chance to do that. Cut Carr, trade our high pick and build from the ground up, starting with the OL
Too many holes on this team to trade away the 2nd rounder. I would build the rest of the team for now and go find a free agent type to fill the role temporarily.
