Sheeet! that would be sweet! not bloody likely...but sweet! anytime...Im done with the gloating. considering how much I love to see any Houston team beat a Dallas team...this win over the overly-praised Dolphins is something I am even more proud of than the Dallas win.
That makes two of us. I guarandamntee you that if the Dolphins play the Broncos this year, they would beat the Broncos. NFL Suicide was real fun this year, lol.
Moderators, please ban me for making these foolish and offensive statements. Un. Freakin. Believable! My cat is hiding because of all my screaming in the living room. I can't sit down! I gotta do something, what can I do?I gotta do something now, I can't sit down, I'm too excited, maybe I should wash my car, or run around the block, or clean my apartment, I just know I'm still too excited to sit down....
The Texans did everything they needed to do to pull off the upset.. 1. Protect David Carr - 0 Sacks, Jason Taylor was not a factor at all, congrats to Chester Pitts on an outstanding job! 2. Stop Ricky Williams - Rickly did some damage, but I consider it a success when he only had 69 yards on 17 carries with 5 catches for 60 yards. Without the run, The Texans were able to sit back and for the most part, keep the Miami WR's in front of them and contain them, now if only Matt Stevens could learn how to tackle.. 3. Run the Ball and eat up the clock - 130 yards rushing for the game with a 33 - 26 min advantage in possession. 4. Don't turn the ball over - zero TO's to 3 for Miami it all adds up to another great chapter in Texans' short history of great wins! Where can I get my Andre Johnson jersey?
Stats from today: Offense- Carr: 17/31, 266 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT Mack: 27 carries, 89 yards Davis: 6 carries, 36 yards Bradford: 2 rec, 85 yards, 1 TD Johnson: 6 rec, 76 yards Gaffney: 3 rec, 70 yards Miller: 3 rec, 20 yards K. Brown: 5/7, (Long-50) Defense- Coleman: 2 INT, 1 FF, 2 tackles, 1 rec (6 yards) Sharper: 9 tackles Foreman: 7 tackles, 1 sack Payne: 7 tackles Wright: 2 tackles, 1 sack We set a new franchise record for yardage. 125 yards on the ground is nice, and Carr had 7 different receivers make catches, and it's nice to see 3 guys break 70 yards. Johnson looked REALLY good. We have 3 receivers who can burn a defense if they aren't played well, which should be big. To beat Miami in Miami without Gary Walker is very impressive.
Agree 100%. Wannstedt is not a head coach. Norv Turner is overated as well. Give Capers more than a week to prepare and he will win most of the time. The guy is a great coach. You gotta love the play of that offensive line today (MVP for the game in my book) Pitts was amazing, as was everyone else.
In my excitment, I almost forgot about that! We shut down the best RB in the NFL without our ProBowl DT!
Any news on Aaron Glenn? Is he OK? BTW, "there's plenty of blame to go around for the way the Texans defense played today" -Rich Lord Um...Rich. We won the game.
WTG TEXANS!!!!! Andre Johnson is the real deal. Player of the Game: Offense - Chester Pitts Defense - Marcus Coleman
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THE HOUSTON TEXANS!!!!!! CARR, COLEMAN, PITTS - STUDS!!!! ANDRE JOHNSON, WHAT A HARD@$$! LIKE THE TEXANS SAID IF BRADFORD, OR JOHNSON ISN'T OPEN, GAFFNEY WILL - 1 WILL BE OPEN AND ALL 3 KICKED BUTT TODAY, WOOOOOOOOOO!!!! GO TEXANS!!!!!
You've gotta be kidding me!! What an awesome game. Makes up for the fact I'm gonna lose in a fantasy football league vs. a guy that drafted a kicker in the 2nd round.
Damn, he actually said that before the game was played? That's amazing... It's already been said, but it's just UNBELIEVABLE that we didn't give up one sack, WAITA GO O-LINE!
I knew someone was going to get me on this. I'm SOOO GLAD THEY WON!! And besides the win, the main stat that got me jumping up and down was this: 0 SAAAAAAAAAAACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN TEXANS WIN!
