Sadly, probably the only way I'll switch is if the 'Boys go 0-16, Texans win the SB, and Jerry Jones moves the team to LA. Then I'll hate them like most of you. But that is a rather small chance...but sadly its a possibility. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever switch. My dad's a fan, my mom's a fan, I've been a fan, uhh...my favorite teacher is a fan,....uh..I hate Dallas as a city..oops, forget that last one.

People make the assumption that if you're from Texas, you're a Cowboys fan. No question the majority of pro football fans in the state root for the Cowboys, but there's a small segment of the population in southeast Texas that despises the Cokeboys. I'm a young myself so I don't remember the Luv Ya Blue Houston Oilers, but if you're in the early to mid 20's and grew up in Houston (and consider yourself a Houstonian), how can you root for the Cowboys??? Unless you started watching football late, you couldn't have missed the awesome Oilers teams. For the younger (late) fans who didn't see these teams, I feel sorry for you. It's never too late to become a Texans fan. Now is the best time...the Texans will suck, probably worse than the Cowboys, but when things get good, don't jump on the Texans bandwagon.
I was born have always lived in Houston. My dad, uncle and grandma have been cowboys fans since they were a franchise team. They had season tickets for the first 30+ years of its existence. The most early NFL memories I have are the 93 and 94 Superbowls. I have watched every Cowboy game in the last 4 years. How can I not me a Cowboys fan?
If you have family affiliation with the Cowboys then it would be natural to be a Cowboys fan. I'm talking about neutral fans growing up in Houston, watching football for the first time in the early 90's.
Yeah, that's why I like the Cowboys, but I don't live in Houston, though. My mom and dad got me into them. But there is no question in my mind, that had I lived in Houston, and had no "influences", I'd probably root for the Texans. Shoot, the Texans are one of the rivals for the Cowboys, and they are still may 2nd favorite. (BTW, if any Texan fans want to know, the Cowboys played pretty badly in their 2nd preseason game, but came away with a win. Pretty lucky, I guess.)
