I have a TV card, and would be happy to do it for out of country people.

We all love VY but we needed to build our D. How can we sniff the playoffs without an adequate defense. Willams and Ryans seem like great pick-ups

I'm so influenced by Green Bay right now, I think I'll wear a cheese head to a Texans game.

Better things seem to happen when Carr isn't on the field.

Carr started slow, but he ended up playing very well in the 2nd quarter.

One thing I have noticed about every pre-season game is that we seem to be focusing on specific things on the offensive side of the ball. First game they had a lot of rollouts, bootlegs and trying to pound the ball with the run. Second game was more of a in the pocket passing attack along with pounding the run once again. Tonight there were a little of both employed, but with more of an emphasis on play action and getting the ball to the backs. At first it seemed it was just Carr, but Sage has been throwing the ball to the backs several times as well. Early in camp Kubiak said that himself, Calhoun and Sherman would all be calling plays for the offense. Seems like all three of them are getting their shots. Kubiak = bootlegs and rollouts, Calhoun = pocket passing, Sherman = wishbone and throwing to the backs. I think we will likely see a good mix of all three during the season.

The defense looked like they may hold their own as well. Williams may not be making the highlights, but he might as well be, he's the one freeing up everyone to make plays. I'm excited about this year.

I'll give credit where credit is due he did pull it together towards the end, I still have zero confidence in him.

Carr is making it harder and harder for me to defend him. He looked horrible tonight until that last drive before the half. That throw to Moulds was right on target, but Moulds pulled up for some reason. Other than that, Carr looked like hell.

I am VERY happy with the way our defense played tonight. Both TD's by Denver were because of 1) Carr's dumb interception and 2) dumb special teams penalty. Remember, Denver is a lot of people's pick to win the AFC this year. Great game by the defense.

I am PUMPED about this kid DeMeco Ryans. 8 tackles and 1 assist in 1 half? For a rookie MLB? I have a feeling we're looking at our starting MLB for many years to come. This kid is the real deal and a lot of fun to watch. Seems like he was in on pretty much every play tonight.

The thing that is driving me nuts about him is that he seems so hesitant to throw downfield, 15-20 yards. He had a couple drives where he looked like he was making strong, confident decisions. However, he still has a lot of work ahead of him. I just wish he could start off better...it takes him a few possessions to get settled down.

God, I wish I could watch this team play.

I can't wait for the season.

I'm still sitting at 7 to 9 wins.

And I'll be disappointed with anything less than 6. Actually, I think I'll be disappointed with less than 7 wins.

I am very satisfied with the defensive effort. And Ryans is an absolute stud...I love having him in the middle there.

All in all, Im happy with the team tonight. Penalties killed us, so if we clean up our game a bit, I think we have a pretty solid squad. Im very excited about the season and the direction this team is headed.

    Playoffs next year...for sure.

That was a good defensive effort.

I'm glad I got to see Jay Cutler pay some more as well as see the Texans make a good effort. Thought the Texans might have a chance to come back and win, but Jay was able to come through on that 4th down play late in the game.

Overall, I'm excited for this year and think the Texans are making progress.

13 pointed out something in their little breakdown of the game just now that I find interesting. At the start of the 3rd, we went with Peek and Babin at the ends (with Williams at tackle) and it seemed to be very effective.

Have we done this often this preseason (this is the first full game I've seen of the three)? If so, how has it worked out in the past?

Seems to me like an interesting option.

I was a big Carr supporter but I can't defend the guy any longer. I just don't see him being the answer at QB.

Although I've seen some things I like out of VY so far this preseason I'd rather have Cutler of Leinart. If I could do the draft over again I would probably go with Leinart but Cutler would be a possibility. Ryans was a steal. He's really going to help our defense out. Sanders looked impressive as well. Our defense played well. I'm sorry, but Williams has been non existant. I know this is preseason and he's seeing double teams occasionally but I honestly expected more. It's funnt, I was super pro Bush going into the draft but I wouldn't even take him first now (not a knock on him just not a need). Morency , Lundy and DD(if healthy) can run in this scheme. We needed a QB. Babin and Peek have looked solid

You know, this is an excellent point that I didn't really think about. For all we know, the reason our QB's were only throwing to the RB's tonight was because that's exactly what they wanted to work on. We don't know what goes on in the meeting rooms during the week. And it is the preseason, so that could very well be the case.

Perhaps it's kind of like when a pitcher wants to work on one pitch during a spring training game and gets ROCKED. Very misleading.

Possibly, but considering how throwing anywhere downfield was almost completely nonexistant all of last season, you would think that it would be something this team really needs some practice with. Exactly what the preseason would be for.

    I hope you're right, though.

Didn't see a lot of the game but I saw enough to put me in the "Carr is a bust" camp. He just doesn't have what it takes. I won't bother breaking it down. If he doesn't snap out of it soon Kubiak needs to name SR as the starter. In fact, SR has earned some time with the first team on Thursday IMO. It would be a hug blow to Carr's ego but so be it! It's very apparent he deserves a large part of the blame for our offensive failures last season along with the coaches and O-line.

This is true as well. Especially since Carr hasn't really thrown the ball downfield all preseason, where as Sage has.

Carr is horrible, always has been always will be, he throws it side arm, looks at the rush, and locks into a receiver FAR too often.

He and Joey Harrington are equals....time to move on....
