Oh yeah, they were great. Show up at 6AM RUN Hydrate RUN Hydrate Position Drills RUN ... Go Home Eat Sleep for 2 hours Come back at 6PM Repeat
Wait one more month exactly till training camp? This summer is speeding by and I’m completely OK with that
I remember precisely when the HUGE change came in hydration came. in 1968, as an 11 year old in 7th grade, the coach used hydration as tests of determination and strength to separate "the men from the boys." One year later, in 1969, hydration and salt tablets were freely available at all times. It is memorable because of it's abruptness. And the practice ending wind sprints showed themselves to be a team divider with the light weight DBs, receivers and RBs loving them and the bigger guys in the trenches hating them. Anyway, my subject was a question about how many of our 2024 training camp cuts will be picked up by another team or our own team during this season? My suspicion with our depth is that it will be very surprising high.
Man your coach was nice We had fence laps in the morning and after practice (3 miles). . Then hit the weights (we were in different groups depending on what you lifted and reps). They didn't give us any food. Just water and lemon lime gatorade
Yes, I forgot the weight room, that was right after the morning session. And no, there was no food, that's why you went home for lunch. I remember one year Coach got the idea that shaved/crushed ice was better for hydration, the thinking being that you wouldn't drink too much too rapidly. That was nice.
Makes absolutely no sense to trade Sengun. If you're talking Green and Cadw that photo isn't being hund up
Love it. The smell of the grass. The stank from the locker rooms. Hearing the sound that the cleats would make on concrete as we walked out to the fields. Getting out there with 100% humidity - swamp ass within seconds. Stretch. Bust some heads for 10 segments in half hull and Blood on the Moon. Break for weights and film. Usually we would bring our lunch and stay up there all day and chug down the salt peter they would give us to avoid cramps. I still remember weighing in before practice and almost always losing 5-10lbs in sweat after the day was over. Crazy as it sounds my favorite part was dingers. Finishing a practice with a run for your life is character building and it really does come into play in the 4th quarter of games.
