HOW CAN THIS BE? HOPKINS WAS ABLE TO DO SO WELL EVEN THOUGH HE HAD NO TRAINING CAMPS?!?! was it a fluke or was it just a hall of fame performance by a consistent player?

Dumb fks shouldn't b defending this trade.

It goes to show that Hopkins brilliance shines when he has a legit competent coach. no fking way first game, man goes for career high against a strong team on a fluke.

No one is defending the trade. Texans could not pay him when his extension would kick in. Plus, he didn’t want to be here. You could argue get rid of BoB instead, but Cal Mcnair chose not to.

I hope you losers who defend Bob and the Texans can see the disgrace this franchise is by continuing to be so mediocre and having suckers like ya'll supporting them as they shovel the BS deep down your throats while you thank them with a "may I have another".

I didn't realize Nuk's 14 receptions was a career high and new team record for Arizona -- amazing performance.

You can also call yourself Mr. Backtrack.

You were defending the trade saying Nuk wasn’t an impact player. now you’re backtracking.

Show me where I said..."I like the trade". I'll wait. What I did say is the Texans' can't pay Nuk, Watson, and Tunsil.

We know Nuk is a great WR. He didn't want to be here.....and McNair chose O'Brien over Nuk. Oh well........u can't keep crying about it or move on and be happy for Hopkins.

I think the Texans will be fine.

Weird how the Texans are the only team that seemingly can't pay anyone. Chiefs had $177 in salary cap space in March and managed to sign Mahomes to a $500 million contract without sacrificing anyone of note, and also extending Kelce and Chris Jones. Every other team manages to do this pretty regularly too. Texans could have paid Nuk if they wanted to. Of course, it does require a competent GM and a non-vindictive coach.

Look at Mahomes contract, it really doesn't kick in until 4 years from now....the way it is structured. That way KC gave him a 10 year extension. It was team friendly for the next 4 years. Mahomes will leave money on the table. Most NFL players won't do that. Watson wanted a 3 year extension, but the Texans got him to agree to 4. Tunsil only took a 3 year extension. The reason is you get another bite of the apple (contract-wise) when you are 29 or 30. Every other team doesn't manage anything. That's why the Cowboys were low-balling Dak, trying to save a few millions. It will end up costing them more now, if they decided to keep him.

Texans could have paid Nuk, but good luck having any veteran WRs next to him. It would all be players on Rookie contracts. Forget about a veteran RB too. Also, you would have gut the team of a couple of veterans on Defense while you are it.
