That's how much Caserio's contract is for. It's actually 6 years/$30M but maxes out at $36M. Cal made him a Top 3 paid GM, don't see many people turning that down.
Oh ok my bad thought you where referring to our cap space. And Caserio has been one of the highly sought after executives in the league for years.
Omenihu hasn't done much on the field. He is MAY become a better player in the right situation, but he is not a cornerstone. Rebuilds are painful. Astros was REALLY painful. Rockets is probably a little accelerated because of draft picks...but it is still painful. Texans is probably going to be in-between the Astros and Rockets, depending on the Watson return.
When Watt left, weren't they promoting Omenihu to be the man on the D-Line as his replacement? WTF is this franchise doing?
Man I wanted at least a 4th for Omenihu but would have accepted a 5th. All I can say is it better be at least a 6th, especially if it's 2 or 3 years down the road! Is he a FA at the end of THIS year or next?
I dont get it, why people are that mad he is gone, have you seen his stats, I mean he did some great plays last year, but only got 7 sacks in 2019 and 2020 combined, and none this year, he had 30 tackles combined in 2019 and 2020. (13 tackles in 2019, and 17 tackles in 2020) wk 1 vs Jags 1 tackle, wk 2 vs Browns 4 tackles wk 3 vs Panthers 2 tackles wk 4 vs Bills 1 tackle wk 7 vs Cardinals 1 tackle wk 8 vs Rams 1 tackle Even Mercilus had more tackles than him last year, and Mercilus was awful, maybe because Omenihu was still in the rookie contract, and Mercilus got big contract.
All players say good thing about the organization when they are here, and then immediately once they are on another team they sing a different tune. Why would a current player badmouth their bosses, in public?
GMs seem to be more willing to trade/cut players they weren't responsible for hiring That's not a good reason, but it's a reason
With this ownership, the Texans are going to be the new Browns. The return was nothing, to nobody's surprise.
So then ex players should be letting loose on Jack into the first live mic they see, right? Spoiler The team is not good because the team is not good, if any blame should be assigned it should be on Watson, the Texans fans infatuation with Easterby is ****ing bizarre
They literally did Mark Ingram a favor by trading him out of this dumpster fire, he got lucky and therefore is grateful for that. Someone ask Mark if the Saints are top to bottom a better organization than the Texans and he would say yes no doubt about it. Easterby is a symptom but it starts at the top. Cal McNair is ultimately responsible for the disaster garbage franchise that is the Houston Texans. The more he has been involved since taking over for Bob, the worse the franchise has gotten.
The franchise’s decline started well before DW4’s issues came up. A big reason was the ridiculous GM by Committee Cal put together which was a direct result of Easterby being a complete f*cking idiot.
