Those might be the hardest players to trade due to contracts and compensation, but they’re still relatively easy to trade. This team will be a completely new team post trade deadline, all those 1 year deals should be very flippable
Yep, if DW4 isn't in jail, I think fans are going to be truly disappointed in the trade return Caserio gets for him.
At the end of the day, Cal is the boss. Caserio is going to be very sensitive to the wants of and emotions of Cal on something as important as moving Watson and what the general fan opinion of Cal is - because it obviously matters to Cal. I am not saying that Cal is the one making decisions.... but he is an owner that cares about perception of him and his family with the fanbase and he also is someone that can be thin skinned at times. Caserio will do things to put the McNair's and the Texans in a positive light..... and that will include how the organizations frames things with the media.
It's interesting they announced this trade so early before compensation was agreed upon. I wonder if there is more to it than just Roby?
I’m guessing they get a 5th for him, maybe slightly higher if it’s conditional. They’re not going to get much more than that.
Why not, they Texans could trade their whole roster and let random fans play each game, and the results would still be the same 0-17.
The trade hasn't been announced. Twitter reporters just said it being discussed. It is not official and the Texans have said anything.
