I guess we won't be getting any more love for having three 1,000 yard RB's on the roster.

    :(

The run at 1:15 vs the Colts, he hasnt shown burst like that in a while, like he was shot out of a cannon there. Certainly not as a kick returner.

    His time was up, though.

I thought i was the only one that noticed that. Slaton would have cut back lanes but wouldn't even look that way. If the play was designed to go right he went right even if nothing was open over there.

My guess he ends up in the AFC south.

This freaking division is nothing if not incestuous.

Dolphins have claimed him, per Schefter tweet.

Added depth for the inevitable Reggie Bush injury that is coming.

Pat White, Reggie Bush, and now Steve Slaton.... Boy the Dolphins knows how to pick em dont they!!!... I would have killed for that lineup back in 06/07 on the NCAA football game... They should all get together and take the CFL by storm......

Yes they are that specialize. Somewhat in terms of "skill set" and physical ability but much more so in terms of mental agility and quickness.

To perform at the level of a top notch CB/WR you have to have either a natural instinct to cover, play the ball in the air, go up for the ball at its highest point or have done enough reps and practice to have ingrained to do at the speed required in the NFL.

You cannot think at all out there a lot of times, at least not how we as fans think they do. By that time it is already too late. No chance of doing that with him with how much he is paid and taking a roster spot on a playoff contending team especially without summer minicamps/workouts to potentially "retrain him".

i agree. Slaton drove me crazy and I still cannot completely understand what happened to him but he always took things well and never made a stink about it. I wish him well and hope he finds some of his old self so he can stay in the league for a long time.

We have the 3 RBs on our roster who are better then him, even our practice squad RB. Dont think so.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Couldn't we place a little blame in that regards on the RB coach as well? Isn't their job to identify the problem and fix it? Of course, maybe they tried and Slaton was too stubborn or thick-headed to get the idea. I guess we'll never know...
