I think everyone saw the improvement last year and wanted to finally have some continuity/consistency.The org just went trough a terrible stretch and I think everyone was finished with the revolving door of coaches. I wanted Slowik back for that reason and hoping we could build on last year.

The Texans no doubt lost a lot of weapons on offense this year. I’m just not sure we saw enough when it counted. This team really struggled to put points on the board. Is that solely on Slowik? Definitely not.

I’d like to see a change, just feels like it’s time. There are a lot of holes that need filled on the offensive side of the ball no doubt.we all saw it, the line, TE, WR.gonna be interesting to see what they do.

Like I said literally every team has TDs dropped or their QB throws picks. But yes when your opportunities to score are few and far between those misses are more memorable and impactful.

How did you think they looked after they moved Howard to LG and that was after the skill position injuries. Frankly I think it's dumb and lazy to place all of the offensive issues on the OC. But hey, you do you, What's weird is I'm on board with replacing Slowik as long as his replacement is a vet OC with a track record of success.

Exactly why I want Tyler Warren.

Best QBs have a really good to great TE. They MIGHT have a legit WR1 but that left TE changes the game. Especially for young QBs.

I suspect they're keeping Slowick, and I could probably make an argument that, over the course of two seasons... he's been OK. I'd replace him - but I don't think they will.

And if they don't, I hope they'll at least fire the OL coach and replace him with a seasoned OL coach with a long track record of success who can work with -and push - Slowick. I want Mike Munchak. If they do that, I'd be fairly content. And then go sign, like, three mass murderers from the state penitentiary to play C/RG/RT because I want this ****ing O line next year to be every bit as violent as the defense.

Also, I love DeMeco Ryans. But I'm disappointed he didn't release Dalton Schultz in the locker room and force him to find his own way home. If he's on the team next year, I'll be pissed. Caserio has a lot of hits - but resigning Schultz and not rightly seeing '23 as a one-hit wonder (after the Cowboys let him walk; after every team took a pass) is one of his bigger misses.

I hope with a tremendous amount of intensity that they can get into position to draft Tyler Warren.

I feel like it's going to take Demeco being put in a really tough spot for him to get rid of Slow. He coached with him in SF and pulled him away to come here. I feel like it may go beyond football at this point.

I doubt teams like the Colts, Dolphins, Rams, Broncos or Chargers won't snag him before we get our pick. I just hope it's not the Colts.

Anyone other than Slowik. Hell give me a chance, I’ve quarterbacked my flag team and coached my nieces and nephews. I was told I was quite innovative!

Chip Kelly would certainly make things exciting, feels like a boom or bust type move.

There is always the cliche about making a rookie QB learn a new system, and Stroud said as much. But who knows how he feels privately.

DeMeco seems genuinely upset - upset they lost; upset they underachieved in the regular season. And while there are several things to point to on the defensive side of the ball... I have to think he's not going to sit idly and let the offense pull them down again.

I still don't expect Slowick to be fired - but I would no longer be surprised if he is. I think it's fairly certain he's going to bolster the offensive staff in some way. And I suspect they'll load up on offensive talent in free agency and draft.

Going to be a VERY interesting offseason. I don't think DeMeco likes being thought of as an after-thought among the AFC elite, and that was a message delivered over and over again as the season progressed.

Isn't that the same play the Texans ran a few times with Nico?

Is it a new system? He played it in college just 2 years ago.
Chip is another great example of elite OC but bad HC. Kinda like Kliff Kingsbury (who I wanted before we hired Slowik). One of those types of OC's is perfect to pair with a defensive minded HC.

All that being said, I'll be sad my buckeyes lose him.
