They’re currently 24th with 9.7 points per game. Last year, up to December, they were 11th with 11.1 points per game (I believe I looked up the same number of games). On defense, they rank 6th in opponent first-half points per game at 9.1 but drop to 23rd in opponent second-half points per game at 13.1
Let him go to the Jets since they are desperate and no coach with options would want to go there. They are a perfect match, incompetent coach with an incompetent franchise.
OMG he’s available and so much better than Bobby. The real architect of those KC Super Bowl winning offenses.
Yeah, and hes fallen flat in multiple spots. He had so many interviews and never got the job, had to be a reason.
Sharp Football broke down the 49ers and Texans. Their tendencies are eerie similar, Amen and Ausar similar. The results, however, are worlds apart. His advice to Bobby, "Stop trying to be Kyle." I don't think Bobby can stop. It's why he got the gig. Like other posters have already mentioned, if you can't run the ball consistently the entire thing is toast. They're committed to it no matter what. I love the Kubiak offense when everyone is in sync. Right now it's ooglay for sure but with subtle changes it can be a prolific offense. That's all I was sayin' New O-line coach is priority one. Still confused as to why they hired Strausser who only coached tackles in Denver for a year in 2017. Never was a disciple of Kubes more of a friend to Vance. Next, plenty of 2nd tier guards in f/a that have familiarity with the scheme. Finally, not letting high contracts or draft status get in the way of playing your best linemen. 2025 line: Tunsil/ Scruggs* / Patterson/ FA with scheme familiarity/ Fisher *Rookie 4th round Guard from NC or USC wins the job but gets hurt in training camp. TLDR, Bobby aint leaving
Because Slowik playcalls that offense almost identically the way Kyle does. Difference being, 49ers Oline has been stable for years and Kittle blocks a tad bit better than Dalton. Getting rid of Bobby will only happen if they want to do away with this system or someone like a Stefanski gets fired and wants to be coordinator. Stefanski would also be playcalling this current system just more seasoned. My issues with Slowik haven't changed: -Forcing some of the Kubiak classics when we just don't have the blocking down yet. - Forcing inside zone into the den of some elite fatties -The wildcat qb fade. -Not being decisive on what he wants to do late to close out the 4th qtr. That said there were plays wide open to win the GB game, the Detroit game and the Titans game without having to depend on the FG kicker. 11-2 vs 8-5 sad such is the nfl life.
Let's check the scoreboard fans Kubiak- offense to predictable ( guess what, they're running almost the same offense now) BOB- fans didn't like his offense Kelly- see above Pep- see above Slowik - see above Fans will never be happy with the OC unless they're like the Lions and their ol is the best in the NFL or their offense wouldn't look so good.
Chiefs, Ravens, Eagles, Bengals, Steelers, Rams, Commanders, Vikings, Packers off the top of my head are fanbases that are happy with their offense. So what you're saying isn't true.
Name me the last OC that Texans fans have been happy with? Ravens haven't been happy, they fired Roman and complained last year about not running the ball in the AFCCG. Eagles fans have been complaining about Steichen since they made the SB and fired their OC last offseason. They still aren't happy with Moore. Bengals fans complained this year about Taylor being to conservative. It cost them the game against the Ravens. Steelers fans haven't been happy with their offense for years. Etc...
I think we were generally happy with Kubiak. The disappointment as I recall came when we'd get shut down in the playoffs against teams like the Patriots. We were never able to get over the hump. People got frustrated in the moment because it seemed we under-performed in big games, not because the offense was generally bad. But the offense was good 90% of the time. The current feeling is that Slowik's offense is under-performing almost all the time.
