My freind just called me and told that after KB missed that FG, they went to Carr and behind him there was Mathis and he had a big grin on his face and looked like he was giving a high five, lmao.
quoting my comment i made when the titans got that TD off a punt in the 3rd. and then brown screws up a rare 2nd chance at a feild goal to top it off. It felt like he missed it on purpose to increase our chances to get bush. These last three weeks for the texans has CHOKED the life out me.
Years from now when Reggie Bush is hoisting his MVP trophy here in Houston, we can all thank Kris Brown. Kudos to him for taking one for the team.
the way this season has gone, you should have been dead after the 7 games. gonna throw out a Bill Walton-esque hyperbole: That was the worst intentional miss field goal in the history of the NFL.
Yeah. At the bar where I'm watching the games, a big chunk of fans started chanting "Reggie, Reggie, Reggie" when he missed that field goal. I wasn't among them, but I can't say I was upset.
No way! He's doing a great job this season -- What other coach could deliver us Reggie like DC? And he make sit exciting -- tank the last 2 minutes, just to keep us on our seats!
That was spectacular, Oilers style. I'm getting a little worried this will stay with them next season.
Paul T would never do it, because admitting a team would tank games to get a draft choice would be almost as bad as admitting gambling drives the NFL. But if the NFL had a smidge of integrity they would fine the Texans a zillion for that totally obvious staged collapse. C'mon Brown kicked that one towards the sidelines...it was like he didn't want to chance it hooking and going through the uprights.
I do. My inside sources tell me they are going to get Reggie as first in the draft. Then release him. Not sure of the strategy, but it's what they are telling me.
