That makes me think the Jets would get the pick over us if we were tied, since the AFC East is so down this year. Playing the Colts twice won't help our percentage.

We have one of the hardest, if not the hardest schedules in football. We have to lose out to get the #1 pick.

    LOSE LOSE LOSE!!!

I saw some Reggie Bush, and i am sold out. We have got to get this guy with the first pick. He can run like anything. He doesnt need an offensive line, he can do it all on his own. HE can catch too. Him and Davis will be one of the best running duo in the nfl. They will make a serious differance. Plus we need some excitement, someone to watch. Trade our two 3rd round picks for a first. With that pick, take a OT or a LB. With the second round, go for a CB or a safety.

Wow! He doesn't need an offensive line, he'd be perfect then. Come on, every offense needs a OL, especially the RB.

That kid can do it all though. He has so incredible speed, and talent, he doesnt need an offensive line to play good. His stats will drop from USC, yeah, but he will still be great. We are talking Hiesman winner here.

Reggie Bush can also be a great reciever for us, which we need.

It would be wierd though, Vince Young is from Houston, and we bring in his rival.

In this draft, the biggest dropoff for the Texans sake is the #2 slot. If they're #2, and the 1st team takes/trades Leinert, then the Texans can simply take Bush with the 2nd pick. If Bush gets drafted #1(like because of the the 49ers), then the Texans can get a bundle trading down. The #3 slot is the absolute lowest pick the Texans can affort. Any lower, and they'd miss out on D'Brickashaw too. I don't think it's the end of the world if we don't get Bush. He's potentially the next Barry Sanders, but there's a lot of risk involved. They could just as easily come out very well with some extra 1st day picks.

You have to draft Bush if you have the opportunity.

We'll just have to find alternatives in rebuilding the OL. I'm not as concerned as much, since they have been doing better. Sometimes an OL just needs repititions in order to improve.

I think we should draft a LT and RT. Move Pitts to LG. Keep Hodgden (center) and Weigert (RG) and release McKinney to free up some space. There will be plenty of LT's in the 2nd round and we can shop around for the RT.

On defense, we should draft a linebacker in the 3rd round, because I don't think we'll be seeing the 3-4 next year.

Release Coleman and move CC to free safety, unless we see a steal later in the draft.

Well, historically speaking, that seals it then. This guy will be a pro-bowler for a least a decade, based on that fact alone. :p

cmon man, the titans are right in there too. go titans. We should get obliterated by the Colts too. Texans are in great form, and in full sprint. You gotta like their chances to hit the tape first.

The least they can do for us now is to KEEP LOSING! But leave it to the Texans to screw it up and start winning their games!!!

yes, because i can't think of one that is any good in the NFL. example: jabar gaffney.

and if the texans do get some extra picks in the draft.....get some DAMN lineman. stop screwing around and realize that your skill players can't do jack without an oline.

    You make the call.

    Taylor Jacobs (Rd.2, WAS, '03)
    Jabar Gaffney (Rd.2, HOU, '02)
    Reche Caldwell (Rd.2, SD, '02)
    Travis Taylor (Rd. 1 #10, BAL, '00)
Darrell Jackson (Rd. 3, SEA, '00)
    Ike Hilliard (Rd. 1 #7, NYG, '97)
    Reidel Anthony (Rd. 1 #16, TB, '97)

I think Jackson is the best of the bunch, especially since he was a 3rd round pick.

    4 games remaining:
    Texans (1 win): @TEN, Ari, Jax, @SF

    2 win teams:
    49ers: @Sea, @Jax, @StL, Hou
    Jets: Oak, @Mia, NE, Buf
    Packers: Det, @Bal, Chi, Sea

    3 win teams:
    Saints: @Atl, Car, Det, @TB
    Titans: Hou, Sea, @Mia, @Jax

    6 teams with 4 wins.

It would be a feat for the Texans not to pick up 2 wins out of their last 4 games, seeing as only Jacksonville has something to play for. The Jets may be playing the worst ball out of the 'competition' with the Saints not far behind. A Favre team will never tank. The Niners have been somewhat competitive in games.

I fear the Jets. However, it's possible that they may be inclined to take Leinart over Bush considering their QB position and that Martin is still chugging along. The Niners, on the other, will be pressing hard for Bush.

We need the Packers and Jets to win next week, because I think those are the only games left they even have a chance in (maybe also the Jets vs Buf). I don't see the 49ers winning any of their games before playing us. That game could really decide the #1 pick, and you know San Fran will be tanking to get their Cali boy Bush.

    Go Jets GO!

This is bizarro, sort of liking rooting for guys you hate simply because of Fantasy Football, but whatever.

Texans tied.....need an insurance INT here.....

Staring down our third straight fishy loss. This time with the botched FG and again porous 2-min defense. Unbelievable. Time for the NFL to institute a lottery.
