Do the Texans sell those to non season ticket holders or do you buy them second hand? If they sold them, they should certainly refund the money
Anyone can buy them from the Texans. People can buy parking pass season tickets without gameday ticket purchase.
from the website..... New Policy: The Houston Texans announced a new revision to their gameday ticket policy. Effective immediately the Houston Texans will require all fans who wish to enter Reliant Stadium or its parking lots to possess a gameday ticket. Who’s affected: Non-ticketed guests, season ticket holders that bring guests to tailgate, season ticket holders that sell or give away their tickets and still plan to come to the game to tailgate. Why the New Policy: Our tailgating environment is intended for the enjoyment of our game attendees and we invest significant time, money and other resources to make this experience exceptional. Non-ticketed visitors that tailgate on the Reliant Park campus put a significant strain on facility resources intended for use by game attendees, create increased traffic congestion for game attendees, setup tailgates in parking spaces without parking passes thereby displacing game attendees with valid parking passes and require the services of EMT, Police, and Parking Staff that should be focused on serving our game attendees. When it’s effective: The new policy is effective immediately and will begin to be enforced starting with the October 10th Home game against the New York Giants. Where it is effective: All of Reliant Park property, including but not limited to all parking lots and the stadium. What will happen to non-ticket fans: Any fan that does not have a gameday ticket will not be permitted to enter Reliant Park Property. How will we enforce this policy: Fans who try to enter Reliant Park grounds on Houston Texans gamedays will be required to present a ticket upon request. To Summarize, you must have either a game ticket or a tailgate guest ticket to enter and remain on Reliant Park grounds on gamedays. What if a Season Ticket Holder would like to bring a guest to tailgate for a game? We will make available a tailgate guest ticket to season ticket holders for $10 per ticket per game, via their online season ticket account manager. There will be up to 2000 of these passes available for each game. Each season ticket holder will only be able to acquire up to 4 for any given game until the limit is reached. Can a tailgate guest ticket be forwarded or reprinted? No. These tailgate guest tickets cannot be forwarded or reprinted. They must be treated like cash and will not be replaced for any reason. Will the Season Ticket Holder be responsible for the actions of their tailgate guest ticket holder? Yes. The Season Ticket Holder who purchased the tailgate guest ticket will be held responsible for the actions of their guest. If a disturbance occurs the Season Ticket Holder will be subject to removal from the property, revocation of their season ticket and/or parking pass. Does this tailgate guest ticket entitle me to setup a tailgate in a parking space? No. The tailgate guest ticket only allows you to remain on property without an accompanying game ticket. You will not be allowed to setup any materials or equipment in a parking space unless you have a parking pass. thats gonna stop people from sellig them to people they dont know or to people they arent tailgating with......u risk losing ur tix
My bad, I was under the impression that this policy only affected people who show up without tickets or parking passes and just want to hang out during the game. This seems kind of silly. Why charge the people who have already paid once for parking passes? This whole problem could be easily fixed by only charging people who show up with no tickets OR parking passes. Those are the people who tend to start trouble. This all comes back to McNair dressing our cheerleaders like nuns instead of strippers like the rest of the league. It's all connected.
I like this idea simply because it will cut down on the congestion. I typically get to the games with about an hour and a half before kick off, but spend a lot of time looking for a spot because a lot of people are taking up more than they should. The current rule is you're supposed to buy a parking pass for each spot you take up. So parking itself should be expensive enough to keep people from going to every game, but they dont do it. It should be like this: Car - 1 pass Trailer - 1 pass Tents and chairs - 1 pass Spot for you to set up washers or a bag toss - 1 pass That could be up to 80 per game just for parking. They dont enforce it. And since people dont follow the rules, I think it is a great idea to start getting those guys out before they get through the gates. Of course, it probably wont be enforced because the guys at the gates wont be checking each ticket once they look up and see the size of the line wanting to come in. But, I do think it is a good idea to try and get rid of some of the congestion.
its more than that it seems.....bc as a parking pass holder, u apparently dont even have the option to buy a pass....only the season ticket holders do....this guy is hosed completely
They could easily enforce the rule that a trailer must show 2 passes at the gate when they drive in (assuming they dont already).
Maybe a trailer, but what about when they set up a tent? and then put chairs in other spots? The rules are not enforced in my opinion. That is why there are so many people who have complained.
why dont the texans work with the owner of were astroworld was,let tailgaters tailgate there if they dont have tickets and open the bridge that connects after kick off
i think the reason or the policy change happened was due to the amount of people who wrote to the Texans and complained ABOUT the issue. I highly doubt that they are going to give any credence to a bunch of complaints from people who only buy parking passes
Unless you're a season ticker holder, your letter/email will be as significant as a Steve Slaton kickoff return.
I am a season ticket holder and a lot of the people I tailgate with don't actually go into the game. This is going to kill our area.
All the huge tailgating areas will be killed. Do you think people are still going to do their elaborate set ups if they have to go into the game?
You're able to buy 4 passes for your friends. I imagine the people you mentioned you tailgate with who don't have tickets are more than 4, but one of the main reasons this new policy was suppose to address is congestion. Other season ticket holders must have complained enough about the congestion for the Texans to put this new policy. And who says you have to go inside for the game if you have tickets? Tailgate to your heart's content if you got a ticket or a pass. (Granted, you spent all that money on tickets, you might as well go inside and get your money's worth.)
What issue? I don't buy the Texans' excuse. They have been having safe, fun, unticketed tailgating for almost a decade now. This is a money grab, doing it not because they should, but because they can. Screw the Texans organization. This is really, really stupid.
