Clearly the offensive genius' have realized that you can't just put ANYBODY out there, with the ZBS, and expect elite results.

The running game being downright mediocre this year is almost as much of a lost opportunity as when our secondary, and overall defense, was terrible in 2010.

Nice signing, but the biggest dropoff from a blocking standpoint was the right side of the offensive line. Winston is still out there and a perfect ZBS fit... crossing my fingers that he's the next guy brought in.

quit it. I'm not used to agreeing with someone consistently. Already posted the same a page earlier.

what a disappointment. i was rather enjoying the cries of the "OMG, the Texans are sitting on their asses." crowd after just the second day of free agency.

I'm confused. Did you enjoy it last year as well, when we lost several players and took a noticeable hit depth-wise? Or do you only enjoy it when we sign players?

This is a good signing only if he stays healthy, he's been pretty injury prone. Hopefully he stretches out his creamy hamstrings LoL

I see that he has missed 4 games in his last 3 seasons.

I disagree. Plus, Edelman can return punts.

you don't think it's premature for fans to overreact when free agency is only a couple of days old. maybe i'm wrong but it felt the same way a couple of years ago when we signed manning and joseph. i'm not saying the team shouldn't be criticized if they get nothing done, but how about we wait until the dust is settled?

You may be right, but the losses of good blockers at TE2 and FB were very underrated last year and led to collectively worse blocking. Good blocking is a result of the sum of all the parts and that's 2/4 spots that we downgraded at.

I'd still like to see them upgrade at TE2, then perhaps you get enough progression out of Newton, Jones/Brooks to see significant improvement.

I like the signing. As much as it sucked to lose key pieces from the last few seasons, I think the Texans have done a pretty good job filling those holes (except WR#2) with established vets. Obviously, there's risk of injury or slippage due to age, but I like the guys they've signed thus far.

Yea all they really need to do know is sign Brandon Lloyd on the Cheap- and
this would be a perfect Offseason...

how is it possible that you reference Lloyd in all your posts?
Never seen someone so excited about a 32 year old WR who has only had one 1000 yard season in his 11 seasons.

He doesn't really fit any needs. Much rather the texans get a young burner to help stretch the field.

There's no room for LOFs in this forum, either. I hear they're a rabid and divisive group.

Like we did last year with Picking up- Martin and Posey... One of those young guys?
Look at our recent signings they are all over 32 yrs old? The Front office knows there
Super Bowl Window is closing thats why they are making this veteran signings. (which is a good thing) When have they ever done this? What is wrong with
    Brandon Lloyd?
Dont you think hes an upgrade over the guys we have now? I mean If we can get him on the cheap.. He torched our secondary when we played the PAtriots

Torched the texans secondary? You mean the 121 total yards receiving in the 2 games? I don't think i consider that a torching.

I'd be fine with him being on the texans, but he just isnt anything special and I found it funny that you are so keen on him that you keep mentioning him.

I'm jealous that the guy I keep mentioning hasn't caused any blowback here.

DHB Please, sign him or the Colts will.

Id much rather the money be spent on him. At least take a shot on a guy with big play potential.
