Exactly. That would never happen. The dude is clearly talented, but I don't see the Texans taking that risk, and I don't blame them.

I think with the leadership we have on the team now, they'll be more willing to take a risk on a player like him or even Alex Olgetree who a few years ago wouldn't even sniff at.

Bob McNair gave an interview this offseason where he said they were opening up the "process" a little bit with regards to their rules on what type of player they'd be willing to draft. Lance talked about it on 790.

I don't see any team drafting honeybadger before the 5th round. I think teams want him as a value pick rather than a reach pick.

If I was a betting man I'd say the Honey Badger goes in the 3rd rd

How good is Ed Reed now? I'm a huge Steeler fan I can only think of him being dominant, He always scared me a lot more than Ray Lewis.

PFT only had him ranked as the 43rd FA. Tons of respect for this guy. Unreal talent. Think he has enough in the tank push the Texans back up closer to to the elite tier. Sacrifice the first rounder, get Victor Cruz and cash the chips in.

AJ ain't getting younger. Would have liked to see the Texans load up in the next 2 years and worry about albatross salary cap hell in the future.

That's like comparing Schaub to Brady.

That's not a comparison of Harden to Reed.

    Reed Already Bringing Attitude

I generally don't like press conferences especially for signings of thrity four soon to be thirty five year old safeties. But you had to be a little excited listening to the guy talk about how excited he is to play with cushing, watt, smith, and joseph. he named them all specifically. and the "we have a squad" comment kind of got me geeked up yesterday. i really was nonchalant about the signing till i heard this guy talk football. you can tell he has a love for the game. the funny thing is when he started talking on field stuff he didn't even mention his buddy andre. dude is all business.

I generally don't keep track of things, but Ed Reed recently set a sports interview record by saying "you know" 21 times while answering a question....

Everything is epic when legends talk
