I was referring to last season.

The best team in the league? A LOL is in order.

I give the Chiefs credit for winning the games on their schedule but the teams they have played so far are 1-9 combined. Matt Cassel sucks but they got a good one two combo at running back with Charles and Jones. I think they will end the season 9-7.

Anything is better than Kareem Jackson.

Our secondary hasn't sucked for a year or two, its been like this forever. And every year we just put it off, never addressing the issue.

Overall our defense has always sucked, even with all the draft picks we put into it. Maybe the problem is higher up. Need defense for championships.

I'm not sure how you can say the overall defense sucks, the Texans are among the best runs stopping teams in the NFL. Their pass defense is what is in question

Can not say that the Texans run defense has proven that they are good yet. No team has had the ball run less against them than the Texans. Why run the ball when you cant stop the pass. Sucks! I was hoping for more from the secondary. They are next to last in yards per game (total/423.0) by less than a yard per game.

Not just this season, the Texans have ranked in the top 5 in run defense since week 3 of last season. So, it has been for a full year

They have been very good against the run but they face their biggest test this week with Darren McFadden. He has been a beast this year so far.

Ridiculous but true - the Texans have never, including the expansion draft, selected a safety in the first 3 rounds. Only once did they take a safety in the 4th (Glenn Earl).

Pollard is the first good acquisition they've made at the position since .......

You really cant combine the two season to tell where this team is. different players in secondary. Robinson was an above avg run stopper from the CB position. Only Pollard has shown he has the balls to hit someone in this secondary. Hopefully when Cushing comes back it will take some pressure off the secondary since it seems he is the only one who can cover a TE. I am with you that I want the Texans to be good, but injuries has really hurt the D line this year. Bullman was a huge loss.

No, I mean Tim Bullman. He did a lot of things that did not show up in stat sheets.

Glover Quin and Kareem Jackson are both good tacklers and play well against the run game. Both are physical and well built cornerbacks. Eugene Wilson used to be a cornerback and is more of a coverage safety. Pollard's strength is against the run and Wilson's strength is against the pass. They are few safeties that do both real well. Bullman was not a huge loss. He is a borderline NFL player.

Eugene Wilson doesn't have a strength. He may be better at coverage vs run defense, but he's not good at either.

Wilson - he was a very welcome addition 2 years ago, but he has been aging rapidly. He's 30 but looks 38 at this point.

Chiefs - they're always a tough home team, and edged the Browns by only 2 on the road. So, I'm not terribly worried yet. But they have been effective running the ball and nearly as good stopping the run. Their game next week against the Colts should be telling.

How can you say Jackson is a good tackler at the NFL level yet? and Quin is avg at best imo. You are not a borderline NFL player when you are a rotational player that plays every game. You dont get PT when you are borderline. But that is just my opinion I can respect yours.

There were some people who said Quin can play safety when he got drafted. If he was an average tackler, then I doubt people would have said that. Jackson was a good tackler in college. He is physical and quick up the field which translates to be a being a good tackler as a defensive back. As for Bullman, he has spent more time on practice squad than on the active roster. He is a borderline player at this point. Just because he was a rotational player on an average Texans defensive line doesn’t mean anything.
