So, the media narrative will invariably become that Elway is brilliant for letting him go, knows how good he can be and it isn't worth it. Had they kept him it would have been the opposite.

I'll go ahead and throw it out there that I don't think he'll be very good. Prove me wrong, Brock. But you won't.
Either him or RG3 was fine with me. At least we know we have a healthy qb now where with RG3 it would be questionable.

Bad risk, considering they could've taken bortles, Derrick Carr, bridgewater. Chances are osweiler will be mediocre at best. This is a huge risk that can cost BO'B and Rick smith their jobs.

"Yeah well Bill Barnwell can say that Brock and Hoyer were the same last year, but he knows damn well that isn't the case. I know the Broncos really wanted him, Kubiak and Elway both really think highly of Osweiler. The Texans made it clear they will break the Broncos financially if necessary. Not sure how it works out but I like Osweiler." - John Waddle
Just to be clear, I'm not saying they are WRONG. I have no idea what to expect from Osweiler, but I love how the media has their favorites and will spin the story to fit their preconceived ideas.
#Broncos have 4 years with him. If they didn't pay what it took, makes you wonder why. Now the ripple effect begins — Tom Pelissero #Broncos reached $16 million per year on Brock.. But weren't going to overpay.. Next move? Will likely look into Colin Kaepernick — Troy Renck
Hope he can be the guy; BO'B is staking his first HC job on his shoulders. Great way to build the team now as they'll have assets to improve in the draft and FA.
The Texans are FINALLY addressing the QB position. There are no guarantees, but at least he isn't a band-aid (Hoyer) or a project (Savage).
Basically I see it as Derek Carr vs Brock, if Derek's career takes off and Brock flops here, that's the 20/20 hindsight to look at. Personally I like it cause that means they're trying hard not waste Watt's prime.
This move will FORCE change if it doesn't work. There is no way that Smith and BOB survive a Brock Osweiler failure.
