The problem with the schedule is that you start the first 3 weeks a big dog. Your probaly going to lose those and that will test the feelings in the locker room, fragile egos, last years team embattled guys they might take on the loser mentality. On the otherhand, if you could manage to win one of those games (and they beat Indy last year so it's not beyound the realm of possibility) the locker room will fell like they are competive NFL players. They may gear it up for teams like The Titans and The Jaguars and get a split; beat Miami, Oakland and Cleveland and beat somebody they shouldn't beat later...thats 7 wins.
thats a pretty good schedule...plenty of room for them to post a good record. This year could be a good growing year for the Texans (assuming they have another good draft).
If we did end up playing Carolina at home this year (which won't happen, I realize), what would the crowds reaction be to Carr? Cheer, Boo, apathy?

Vince Young is more Houston than the Texans will ever be. Born and raised only minutes from the Astrodome, the guy is a hometown hero. The Texans dug their own grave when the passed on him. Bob McNair and co. knew what they were getting themselves into when they passed on him for a mediocre DE.
You think we'll do worse against our division this year than last? I think we are improved while the Titans and Jags havent done much. Titans also lose Pacman for the year, which is a huge blow to that defense and special teams. *Edit* The Colts have also taken a slight step back with the loss of Rhodes on offense and Doss, Harper, and June on the defensive side of the ball.
Texans have a tough division. Pacman was a huge lost but I think the Titans will win 10 games this season and be a wildcard team. I think VY will be that good this season.
The Titans lose their best defensive player and special teams guy and they win 2 more games. That VY manpaint must be better than crack. And no one respond to Baqui99. He's finally realized his dream of VY and the pooper.
Not to mention losing their top two running backs, one of which ran for more than 1,200 yards, and their number one wideout to go with losing the best defensive/special teams player. And that doesn't mention that this was by far the luckiest football team in the league last season... not to take credit away from Vince, because I like him too, but there were so many things (winning with three defensive touchdowns with the worst D in the NFL and under 100 yards of total offense against Jacksonville, the Giants defense letting VY out of the sack and hitting him late on 4th and long, winning the coin flip at Houston, Buffalo not trying the field goal, etc., etc.) that went their way late it wasn't even funny and had absolutely nothing to do with Vince Young. The Titans will be lucky to win more than five games.
I told y'all pac-*** would find a way to hang himself. He can't help it ... it's his freaking nature. Man, the Titans are trying to prove to be more thugish than the Bengals but then again, here's Chris Henry for the block. Yes X gets the square.
The Titans defense sucked last year. It will suck harder this year with no Pacman. That is a very, very beatable team. And I expect the Texans will beat them at least once.
