No, he'll probably be out of the league by then. Seriously, it's waaaaay too early to decide if it's an easy schedule or a hard schedule. As quickly as good teams can start sucking and sucky teams can get good, it just way to early. Let's just hope we're one of those sucky teams that get good.
That will depend on how well the team is doing. If they are sucking air and blowing chunks, then there will be more Saints & Titan fans at the game than Texans fans. Also expect to see a lot of orange no. 10 jerseys in Reliant when the Titans come to play. The fact that they had to give up and jettison Carr one year after they passed on VY will not make a lot of his Houston fans very happy because they will continue to see this as an opportunity lost through sheer stupidity.
I agree. I could easily see us finishing with a worse record than last year. The games vs the Panthers, Falcons, and Saints should be entertaining.
Unless, of course, Vince looks less and less like the NFL's second coming of MJ (with apologies to DD).
we'll always see VY jerseys in Houston. that's inevitable. my son wore his burnt orange VY jersey to school the other day. but i think Carr being gone gives this franchise a new face and new hope that people will latch on to.
Who cares? Texans fans are happy that they've made the improvement by getting rid of Carr and adding Schaub. Those Titans fans can, you know, bite me. And I will let them know that as Schaub to Johnson is burning that depleted secondary.
Are they going to be the "official station of the Houston Texans" again? Which basically means they show all the preseason games and the coaches show on Sunday nights. LOL.
Well that's just spiffy. so us Time Warner...Comcast people will get to see it. Who is actually broadcasting it?
you get the nfl network feed just like the preseason game vs Denver last season. The same thing happens when the Texans or back in the day the Oilers were on ESPN the always will provide it over "free television"
Well no matter what the situation is our close proxi to New Orleans plus all the transplants will make parts of Reliant Black and Gold (I was at the Texans/Saints game in 2003 in New Orleans and there were thousands of Texan fans at that game) not to mention they are coming off their greatest season. As far as the Titans go, before VY very few "Titan" fans came to Texans/Titan games but yes Houston born folks will continue to root on one player over their Hometown team. It is gay and if your one of those people you deserve to get your butt kicked going against the home team and rooting for Bud's team.
who came up with this nonsense? the texans and titans share 12 opponents; houston then has to play miami, cleveland and, of course, the league's future nine-peat champion tennessee titans twice. meanwhile, the mighty titans get the jets, bengals and, of course, the soon-to-be 6-10 texans twice.... if tennessee has the 4th hardest schedule... houston must have the 3rd hardest, if not THE hardest, having to face the titans twice and all.....
Kansas City L @ Carolina L Indianapolis L @ Atlanta L Miami L @ Jacksonville L Tennessee L @ San Diego L @ Oakland Toss up Bye Week New Orleans L @ Cleveland W @ Tennessee L Tampa Bay L Denver (Nationally Televised) L @ Indianapolis L Jacksonville W
ESPN measures it this way... First column is opponents win %, next is Opponents wins, next is Opponents losess Titans-Ranked 4th .520 133 123 Texans-Ranked 16th .504 129 127 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2830466
like i said: nonsense. and to be perfectly technical about it, teneessee's schedule is the third hardest; houston's 7th, using last year's (meaningless) records.
i think the texans will hit 7-9 at minimum. I expect the over/under to be set at 6.5, and I'll take the over.
