I just don't see it. I see a weak secondary, a weak defensive line, a weak core of linebackers on defense. On offense I see a one man wide receiver core, a weak offensive line, a solid running back and a question mark at qb. I just don't see this team being a playoff team in either league in any division.
I'd say that's a fair assessment. No one has said they're making the playoffs; one person has said it would be an "outside possibility" in the weaker conference--so I don't think the two points of view are too far apart.
Leadership, or being able to hit a midrange jumper? Also, baskeball and football do not offer good comparisons to each other.
