No, but they would put Peyton Manning in it. Probably had to go completely redo the schedule to put him on MNF as often as possible.
in week 1 they will be playing on wednesday but from week 2 they will play in thursday http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...-to-go-prime-time-in-new-thursday-night-slate
I don't it's real. It even has the Panthers of all teams with an NBC appearance. It also has the Browns having a MNF. lol...
It may be fake, but I highly suspect Cam Newton to get a SNF gig this year. Another thing to note is that (assuming this schedule is real) we have several marquee late season games that could easily be bumped up to primetime, if the matchup is lucrative (ie - Jets vs. Texans).
Yeah the guys at the 506 say TV guide shows an ESPN special on the 17th to announce the schedule. Those guys are crazy good at finding this type of stuff.
Hmmmm…. Well, IMO - when you throw the ousted-Tebow into the mix, bar none: Manning’s Bronco debut is going to be THE giant story of week 1. So NBC jumping on it makes a ton of sense. And if they invite the Texans along and we can face Manning as cold as possible, before he gets his feet under him, before he develops chemistry with his WRs, etc., - I'll take it. Plus, it'll give Wade nearly five months to game-plan for him. The Broncos do play the other top AFC contenders (Baltimore, New England and Pittsburgh) – but only Baltimore is in Denver. (A home debut would be much better, I would think.) The only caveat is Manning’s health – if he can’t go week 1… that becomes a dog game. No one wants to see Brian Griese – or whoever his back-up is. But I think Denver getting that first Sunday night game is very viable.
If the Texans go to the Super Bowl with that schedule, they will really deserve to be there. That is one brutal schedule, especially in the beginning.
It's fake, see Castor's post #27 in this thread. But of course the opponents are the same...thus I agree that they will certainly have to earn it this year. Though I'd argue that anyone that wins 2-3 playoff games has earned a spot in the Super bowl.
It's not *that* tough a schedule. They have seven games against teams picking in the top 10 of this year's draft, and then another 4 games against non-2011 playoff teams. Go at least 8-3 and you'll almost certainly get to 10 wins and another division crown.
Real schedule comes out tomorrow night! Here's an appetizer. http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/36021/a-look-at-strength-of-schedule Of course, this doesn't mean much. But still fun to kick around.
About a week ago the Lions president commented on the fake schedule. He said that every game on the Lions schedule was wrong except for one game. He didn't say which game was correct, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the Thanksgiving game against the Texans is it.
