Texans are 6-2 after cutting Mallett. Too bad their first priority isn't about winning.

Well sure, but that's a distortion. The ONLY reason they are 6-2 is because of 2 really lucky concussions. The team was fortunate that TJ Yates and Brandon Weeden are also better QB's than Hoyer and that he was hurt bad enough to where BOB couldn't force him on the team. Without those 2 concussions, the Texans are already out of the playoffs and looking forward to the draft.

Yeah, just screw the reality. It's far smarter to just live in what if fantasy land.

Your statement read that the Texans cut Mallett because their first priority was not about winning, yet they are playing at a .750 clip since cutting him, regardless of how they got there. Based on their performance, cutting Mallett was part of their 'winning' strategy. For all we know his antics and lack of professionalism contributed to their 2-5 record while he was on the roster.

Which is true, Mallett gave them their best chance to win games, but they cared more about him not being on time. Just because injuries saved the team from themselves doesn't mean that their priorities weren't wrong.

They were set to run with Hoyer for the rest of the season, if they had been able to, the season would be over already.

So being on time is not important? Let's just make a different set of rules for a below average qb. Brady, Cam, Rogers, Palmer, and Russ better be on time. But Mallet feel free to show up when you feel like it. Gotcha

Sure, it's important, but not as important as the team's success. Anyway, it doesn't matter now, we've got Weeden for now and hopefully none of the QB's on the active roster end up on the team next season. Fortunately BOB didn't hurt the team all that much with his decision to vouch for Mallett and Hoyer and then his decision to cut Mallett.

Best case scenario, Bob McNair and Rick Smith have figured out that BOB should be completely ignored when it comes to QB talent evaluation.

Lmao , why do people keep feeding this troll. His basketball takes are at least somewhat believable, but man his football ideas are atrocious. I guess its good entertainment, but its also kinda sad.

Just like people completely ignore your posts when it comes to QB talent evaluation...

Mallet's awful completion percentage is actually higher than your hot-take accuracy.

Well, smart people don't ignore my posts, but I can see how some others might.

You've resorted to this rehashed line just as often as Mallet has thrown a ball in the dirt.... be better or go elsewhere.

SMH, lame. I don't expect better from you after all this time, I understand that some people just have limitations, it's still annoying though.

Just like you continuing to hitch your wagon to defending Ryan Mallet every chance you get.

Much like Schaub is now known more for pick 6's, and ARod and Clemens will forever be tainted by steroids, you have the wonderful pleasure of being the biggest lone supporter of the white trash **** stain known as Ryan Freakin Mallet.

Congratulations. There's a plaque waiting for you outside, (if you can find a way to actually not be logged into this board for 5-10 minutes.)

Heh, hard to believe he was kicked off the Texans discussion board. Can you imagine getting kicked off a discussion board? I wonder if it was due to really awful football takes or really awful behavior. Or, both?

SMH, I knew you kids would throw a temper tantrum after Mallett got picked up, started at QB, and won a game. Too predictable.

Next will come the all too predictable post about temper tantrums.

Edit: damn, just a little late on that one. I Mallet'd it.

    Guys, Trump gonna Trump.

Let Bobby continue to be the Trump of Clutchfans. It only adds to the legend.

If he had his way, he'd deport Swoly, and then build a fence so he couldn't get back in, but He'd use the tipjar money.

I thought it then and think it now. Mallett was the best QB the Texans had on their team. If he finally has his head right he will be an absolute steal for the Ravens and another one a Houston team let get away.
