At his salary, Walter was a goner no matter what. Whether or not we get those other guys back totally depends on the market for them.

nonsense. Sactown was the only person who thought he was going to be cut.

I have always appreciated Walter as a number 2 receiver. Dude did the dirty work, took a pay cut to help the Texans get better, represented the team with class and was always solid, if not spectacular. Still, even I can accept that it's a cap move and with Andre slowing down it would be nice to have a burner (needs to be someone with decent hands, please) at number two.

I expect Walter will go on to help some other team just like he did the Texans over the next 2-3 years and am wishing him all the best. It will also be nice to not see all the posts on how Walter sucked when he clearly did not.

wow. Never would have even fathomed a prudent move of cutting walter would turn into a "Bob McNair only cares about profit" complaint.

    kudos to surprising me.

Some people need to get a grip.

We spent money on entending players like Foster and Brown. We'll likely do the same with Cushing. Re-signing Quin should be the top priority. Ya I wish we didn't overpay for Schaub but that's over and done with for now.

It's not like we didn't spend a fortune to revamp our secondary just 2 years ago.

I wonder who the next whipping boy will be? I guess Matt is already one, but we need a low level guy like Walters or Jones as well.

Gary Kubiak on cutting Kevin Walter: "It made me sick. We still have a lot of business to do, but I'd love to have him back."

Not hard to believe as KW came in with Kubiak in his first year at Houston. Always did what was asked and was just a cap casualty, I suppose.

Ugh that quote made me sick. This is a business and a move that should have been made at least a year ago. Kubiak needs to see the difference between business and emotions.

This cliche battle-fight crap is beyond annoying. Look at the Ravens. They dump Boldin after he made big play after big play last season. Bidness.

Schaub can barely hit Andre with a throw much less a midget.
