Another quiet game from J.J. It's been clear for a while now that he is no longer elite, but I didn't expect such a drastic fall off so quickly.

In a way I'm kinda glad we don't have to watch his decline in Houston on top of all the other issues. That would just be (more) depressing.

I don't know if he's actually "washed." He might just be a regular football-playing DE like most defensive linemen not named Aaron Donald or Myles Garrett.

I think as Texans fans, we were all spoiled by how good Watt once was. Dude was superhuman...now he's just human.

Also, the Rams' O-Line is pretty good too, and the defense as a whole held a high-powered offense to only 20 points in their own stadium.

Last year he was a legit "very good" player with a PFF in the mid 80s. Despite not putting up a ton of "sexy" defensive numbers, he was constantly in the offensive backfield and causing havoc.

This year he's just been a 76.6 so far...which puts him squarely in the "starter" category.

Good for him if he’s only got a little while left to get out of this situation. Nothing wrong with being a productive player after all those injuries, wish we would’ve had the organization to keep a guy like that through his twilight.

If this team was any good and had some talent around him you know he would have restructured his contract to stay

He saw the same writing on the wall that we all did, well, most of us at least.

Yep. FWIW, Chandler Jones had 5 sacks that first game, playing with Watt, and Jones is sitting at a 79.1. Jones still only has 5, while Watt has 0. imo people put way too much emphasis on the number of sacks a player has.

    JJ Fatt injured again
JJ Fatt with another season ending injury.
    Gonna blame the Texans trainers/doctors?
Did he hurt it patting himself on the back?

Sucks for the Cardinals. For all the 'hate' and 'washed up' talk he gets, he's still one of the NFL's best defensive players when healthy.

At least it's not his lower body this time.

Easy now. Dude took a ton of abuse during his career, linemen don't all last forever.

I don't get the hate/schadenfreude from some people here for former Texans like him/Andre/Hopkins. It's weird.

Sucks for him, it's maybe time to hang it up. HOF is waiting.

And some people wonder why Houston Fan gets a bad rap? SMH. Kicking the guy while he's down after he broke himself playing for this pathetic franchise? Sad.

Our fans love owners and hate players, it's that kind of football town. Our fans suck.
