I hope they have plans to replace him and I hope those plans don't rhyme with "clue"

I think they're working on a ring of honor... they're still too young of a franchise to consider it right now (as it looks sort of hollow to dedicate an entire ring for 1-2 players).

Right now, AJ and Foster would be the only ex-Texans to warrant strong consideration... and both are still attempting to play. Other possibilities for future consideration include Demeco, Duane Brown, and Cushing. Of course they probably could just put Watt up there now, and nobody would really have an issue with it.

I'm not disappointed that they released him; just disappointed it's gotten to the point that they didn't have a choice.

Loved those runs where you could see him just waiting for the hole to open and once it did, he'd plant the foot and explode. The patience and vision were incredible.

Yeah...im thinking #99 wont be reissued to any other player as long as this franchise is afloat.

Huh? Even if he was relatively healthy, his cap hit was too much. Cutting him now is exactly when you want to cut him.

Have money to keep Jones and Brooks, give Hop his big extension, and still be players in free agency. Good work by the cap guys.

Nope, not this year. Next year will be about a 5.5 million dollar savings, so that looks to be the appropriate time.

Throwing in Wilfork and Hoyer will save another 8-9 million too.

They need Wilfork. They need a big body in the middle and he is the only one on the roster. Plus he seems to be a leader in the locker room.

Yeah, but he's terrible...they can draft or sign someone that can equal the production at the same or lower cost.

If I had the talent to make the NFL I would never play RB.
