Its going to take us a few years to build this team back up. We can't just turn it around next year by having Bush alone, but we need something to start building around and Reggie Bush will be the foundation of our new team, it will take a few years though.

Yeah, but RBs have the shortest life span of any position in the league. If Bush was to be the feature back (and despite his gaudy numbers, the guy wasn't really a "feature" back at USC), he is going to be getting hit a lot. If, by the time we have finally assimilated something resembling an offensive line, with a decent QB and defense, Reggie Bush is on the downswing of his career, then that pick didn't do a whole lot to help the team for the future.

Most elusive backs tend to last longer because they don't take hits directly.

This is true, and I'm not necessarily saying that taking Bush would be the wrong decision. Before the UCLA game, I wanted the Texans to trade down since we need an Oline in the worst way and multiple picks is the best way to get that...but after having seen Bush play. Man, we need a guy like that. I am a little nervous as to how well he would perform were he not getting such huge holes to run through like USC blows open for him...but his speed and explosiveness alone should account for a few extra TDs a season that DD can't get since he doesn't have break away speed.

I just hope that, were we to get him, he wouldn't end up like Barry Sanders (not as far as skill...that would be great!) but as far as career. Barry was so amazing and did so much...but it seemed like he never really had much supporting cast around him to help him reach the promise land.

If Davis can successfully produce with this OL, then Bush can.

Be sure to watch HBO's "This Week in the NFL" or whatever that show is. NFL films got a good 20 seconds of footage of me in my getup before the game.

Yes, but can the Texans win games? Do you really want to be the Detroit Lions? I'm all for getting Bush (I've kinda flip-flopped on that), but only--ONLY--if they make some serious changes to the OL as well. Why on earth *can't* we have both? I want to see my favorite NFL team run-block *and* pass-block; is that too much to ask?

Yup! Be sure to watch. I think it starts coming on HBO on Thursday.

It was fun. I was drunk as a skunk. Imagine that!

Those Ravens fans really know how to party during a home game. They were very friendly and hospitable.
