If the Texans get the #1 pick, first you fire Capers and Casserly, then you trade out of the #1 spot to the 3-6 spots, pick up some additional picks, and draft "D'Brick Wall" if he's still there or Marcus Mcneil. Use the second round pick on either a center or a #2 reciever, then use the rest of the picks on OLine or possibly a OLB or DE (to play OLB) in the 3rd or 4th round.

If this continues, the O-Line would be taking him for a milkshake, since his jaw would be wired shut after being broken during a sack.

My bet is that we land in the 3-5 range, and Bush is on the board then we take him, then try to trade a couple of picks to grab an OL early as possilble. If we do happen to have the worst record I would think we would try to trade down a couple and draft OL 1st, and go WR after that. Great job on wasting picks on Babin, Buchanon, Hollings, and Sloppru. Any anybody who thinks the Texans are getting rid of Carr is out of their mind.

Well, I haven't read the rest of the thread, but I have to say this: you can replace DD with Thomas, Perry, or Sanders, Carr with Bradshaw or Farve, and AJ with Rice, but they still won't do jack without a freaking offensive line. My old high school team could break through that freaking Kleenex we call an O-line.

Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, I freaking can't believe anyone would want to pick anything other than an offensive lineman at this point, what games have you been wathcing. 2.5 Seconds is GREAT protection for this line. They are on pace to break their own sack record, pitiful.

You took the words out of my mouth.

Let's invest on some damn protection for the QB we have. Casserley has not exactly put Carr in a position to succeed.

    To me, Casserley has failed.

    WHINE WHINE WHINE
    its the line
    its the line
    its the line

    part of it is Carr
    as I stated
I'm holding Carr to the same Standard
    Ya'll heard Steve Francis

    He ain't getting it done
    PERIOD

Orlando Pace was drafted #1 as a Lineman . .
even then I would not have done it . . .
You get GOOD ~ Great o-linemen in Rounds 2 and later

If Lenart has 3 national championships 2 heismans and only one loss
passing on him would be like the Portland Drafting Sam Bowie .. .cause they
    need height

I'm not saying Lenart [i know i'm misspeling his name] is jordon
but in the 1st round. . you draft the BEST PLAYER available
    not for need.
and Lenart has the resume that should have ANY GOOD GM looking intently

Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

If there is a potential franchise LT available when we pick and we pass on him for ANYONE then there is truly no hope for this franchise, NO QUARTERBACK IN HISTORY CAN BE PRODUCTIVE IN THIS SITUATION. We are tied for the league lead with Minnesota for the most sacks given up but the deal is we have thrown 60 less times than Minnesota. Carr is sacked on a little more than 27 percent of his passing attempts. The next closest ratio in the league is 15 percent by Minnesota, even if you put half of the sacks on David's back, and that is a very raw deal for him, we still come in second in the league at 13.6 percent still just behind Minnesota and there is no way half of the sacks are David Carr's fault. Fact of the matter, Jesus Christ couldn't Quarterback this team right now. I don't know how else to explain that to some of y'all. You have to begin to establish the foundation of the team and worry about adding the shingles and swimming pool later. We can not afford luxuries at this point, we have neccessities to worry about first. The Texans need to go O=Line early and often in the draft, there is no other way.

I can't really say how the rest of this year plays out, but management is not quitting on Carr. Its just not going to happen, he's going to end up getting a huge extension in fact. I'm still on the fence post as far as Carr sucking or not, but regardless of what anybody says..he's staying. And if you're looking for best player availible in this draft, I would think most people would say Reggie Bush is the man. And really, it wasn't like Francis got booted out of here. While some felt he had worn out his stay, the fact of the matter is there was the opportunity to get a SUPERSTAR and he was traded. I never got the empression that everyone thought he sucked and we should just get rid of him.

Well we are pretty much the laughing stock of the league and it sickens me! I think we all saw the writting on the wall when nothing was done on offense.

I wish Bob McNair would fire the two remaining buffons Capers and Casserly now and just get it over with. Everytime I know that they still have a job here irretates me.

Just bench Carr, light a fire under his ass, lets see what Tony Banks or Ragone could do with this line maybe they will respond differently.

Watching Carr out there after each snap is like watching the awaited slaughtering of a victim in a horror movie. He is damaged goods, he has reached to the point of no return now.

What is up with this city and football, a long history of choke jobs and suckness. It is only fitting that next week features the former Houston underacheiving franchise vs. the current underacheiving franchise.

God Bless The Rockets and The Astros.

That felt good, I'm done with my ranting.
