LOL....at least you admit it. But that's what kills me about all the crying in Houston. I have recalled all of us (fans and media) pointing to the NE game, saying maybe it will mean nada to NE and they will rest players....but we wanna complain when another team does it....

    I don't see this happening.

Jets will blitz like crazy, Lewis will get scared Palmer will get hurt and not play em the whole game.

I don't think they'd risk injury for a meaningless game.

It's not entirely meaningless for the Bengals.
If the Texans win, than the Bengals have a shot at a home game as the 3rd seed. If the Bengals lose, they would be the 4th seed since the Pats have the tie-breaker of them. Pats win, it doesn't matter what the Bengals do...Bengals would still be 4th seed.

I'd be happy they finally finished with a winning record, but pissed that it could have been so much more. A few stupid plays and we're talking about this team resting players for the playoffs, too.

Well, its typically normal for a team to rest starters during the last week of the season...not in week 16. In fact, I have never seen it happen before and that is why its more upsetting than a typical "rest starters" type of game.

It's not typical for a team to be 14-0 with nothing to play for in week 16. When you get down to it there really is no difference. We have been hoping NE puts their guys on ice and when another team did it we got pissed. How would it be any different from Balt, NJ and Denver needing NE to beat us this coming week and their starters didn't go the full game, since they have nothing to play for?

I understand your point...sure, they may have had nothing to play for...other than challenge the greatest team in NFL history for having a perfect season.

I know that if Houston was 14-0, I would be furious if we didnt go for an undefeated year. I feel like you owe it to football and the spirit of competition to go for greatness when you have the chance.

Im not just saying this from a fan of Houston perspective...fans pay money to watch football...those Indy fans deserved to watch their team accomplish something so rare. They were stripped of that.

No Monday game the last week

    Texans must win

and 2 of these 3 need to lose

    Jets
    Denver
    Balt

if all 3 lose Texans are 5th seed

    2 of them 6th seed

1 or none and the Texans are out

so the colts screwed the texans again, by letting the jets win.
Its going to be tough, but I think Brady will play 3 quarters, but the rest of the starters will play all game.

    LETS GO TEXANS!!

We are likely stuck with the same record as the last two years and no changes on the coaching side because of the flicker of excitement during the last weeks - the worst of both worlds. The Texans have succeeded in institutionalizing mediocrity. And fans will likely comeback for a "fourpeat" next season. Fool me once, fool me twice, fool me three times.......

That's certainly a possibility but, it's not one I am considering until after next week's games.

I hope we can win this Sunday...no matter what happens, just win.

I turned on ESPN today, and as they predicted the AFC, this is what they said about the Texans..."The Texans will finish 8-8, because that's just who they are..." :(

The Eastern Sports Propaganda Network predicts New England to beat Houston?

    Color me shocked.

Let me guess their projected statline for the game:
    Tom Brady - 34/41 367 yards 4 tds
    LeBron James - 15 receptions 181 yards 2 tds
Derek Jeter - 129 yards rushing 2 tds
    Paul Pierce - 2 ints 1 FF 1 td
    Davd Ortiz - 3 sacks 10 TFL
