So in all this commotion, I guess nobody noticed that Denver has come back on Philly and is only down a FG with 10 minutes left to play.

It will hurt if the Jets sneak into the playoffs ONLY b/c both the Colts and Bengals lay down their starters.

I generally like Peyton Manning and don't have anything against the Colt aside from them being in our division, but I'm really hoping this plan backfires and the Colts lose their first playoff game.

If they do lose, how would it be a sign of their plan backfiring? Would playing an extra 20 minutes today really make a difference in a game 3 weeks from now?

AGREE. It sucks also because you could tell Manning really wanted to play. If the Jets make the playoffs, i hope they are the ones who beat the colts.

it's more to do with morale than playing time. losing isn't a good feeling, even for a team as good as the Colts.

I doube Bellicheck rests his starters, this is the guy who runs up the score on a team if they were to be blowing them out by 40.

The colts game is meaningless if Philly can't beat the Broncos

The only way the texans can make the playoffs now is they have to beat the patriots, eighter jets and bolt lose or jets and broncos lose or broncos and bolts lose. thats assuming that the broncos don't come back and beat the eagles.

I don't know. If Manning, Wayne, Freeney, Clark, etc . . . all just look really rusty after not having played competitive football for 3 weeks, I guess you could conjecture and say it's because 1 1/2 games off plus a playoff bye hurt them.

We will never know. All I know is the last two times they rested their starters they didn't win the Super Bowl. The one time they couldn't rest their starters, they won it all.
