Denver could lose out and open up another spot for the Texans but they play two bad teams at home. (vs. Oakland, @ PHily, vs KC)
I think it would be better to see NYJets lead their division that way Houston could control its destiny (ESPN moment) by beating Miami and New England and hoping New England loses another game.
The Steelers are such a bizarre group that I fully expect them to win out because that's simply the least sensible thought that comes to mind when evaluating this team's remaining schedule. I'm still waiting for the untapped nastiness and fire that this team has bottled up inside of them to come out. For that reason, I won't be surprised at all if they win out. Is 9-7 good enough for the Wild Card? Probably not. In all likelihood both of our teams are toast. But hey, that's why they play the games...right?
I see them having a harder time winning in Miami than beating New England at home. The Pats are not the same team they have been in the past. I really believe that the Miami game is the key game left. Go Texans!
Texans control their own destiny vs Miami. Beat them and the Texans have the tie breaker. I believe the Texans are 4-0 vs Miami, all games won in the last minute.
Texans playoff chances have ticked up from 1% to 2% according to http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/afcstandings.html 2% may be small but thats larger than the chance Ike had to may a direct hit on Houston while in the Atlantic. Anything is possible here.
holy crap!! 2%!!?? I didn't know that!! Why didn't anyone tell me??!! Let's give the head coach an extension!!!
I know the chances are slim for them making the playoffs, but it feels weird actually having them in the hunt this late in the season.
You're replying to a swoly-D post in a serious manner and yet telling someone *else* they need to repair their joke-detector?
