I'd rather keep W. Williams over Mumph. The 6th receiver isn't going to contribute on offense at all barring injuries. So the spot should be saved for ST, and I think Williams and Ervin would scare every coverage team in the league.
Martin is our center of the future, so I kind of expect him to get the starting nod from the get-go. Bergstrom can play guard too, so he and Siou-Falou...Sio Flew..whatever should be battling for that LG position. I would think the other 4 positions are pretty much set. Thoughts?
I got hopes for Devon Still. But maybe that is just because I want him to succeed. He might flourish with everyone focusing on Watt, Clowney, Willfork, and Merci
Agreed completely. he has to prove it, but it'll be a disappointment if Nick Martin doesn't easily lock down that starting spot. XSF over Bergstrom should be a no-brainer and I think Covington or Still can provide all that Crick provided and perhaps even more. Still had amazing potential not that long ago, if he can regain any of that, we're in for a fun season.
Agree. I hate to say it, because I know that most will disagree, but Crick, with all the promise he had coming out of college, was basically just a body on the line the last two years.
Year before last I thought he was decent and was really going to step up last year. He was my most disappointing behind the qb's.
Crick is the ultimate "just another guy" but his on field chemistry with JJ allowed Watt to freelance a little. I think Covington is the guy that will ultimately get the nod.
