If the beer on the family incident did happen, shame on that guy as that is inexcusable to take your frustrations out on Carr's family...That is ridiculous and pisses me off... Now, as for the mock draft, I can't see Rogers getting drafted about Matt, if he comes out...Matt is a franchise type guy and SF needs someone like that...As for the Browns, they need a Receiver, not a LB, although the soon to be Texas-ex is special... The Texans, well, they need everything, but a bad ass OT would be nice...
The Texans really really need to get more pressure on opposing QB's. I don't know if this is a play-calling, scheme (3-4) or talent issue. Robaire Smith was an impact signing but still not a lot of pressure last year. How do they address this issue?
with banks possibly leaving, doesn't casserly need to burn a 2nd or 3rd rounder on another QB project?
To improve pass rush. Wong must be replaced at OLB whether it be Peek, FA, or draft pick. He had his best year this past year and it wasn't good enough. Maybe, its partially the Dline, but you can see that Peek can get pressure. Peek just plays a matador against the run. I'd like to see Wong move inside so the Texans can have one more person that is an option to bring on a blitz. Maybe the Texans should try to emulate Pittsburgh's more diversified pass rush. Pittsburgh uses smaller DE's than the Texans and are able to get a better pass rush from them. Despite the smaller (have a tough time using this word to describe people 290) line, Pittsburgh is one of if not the best. Babin is about three sacks away from being good enough. In conclusion, the status quo is unacceptable, but it is so bad that it is difficult to see where the pass rush can be improved.
Common sense often precludes the Lions from making the right decision, so Southern Cal offensive coordinator Norman Chow shouldn't expect a call from Steve Mariucci anytime soon. "It's probably time for me to move on and provide other people with opportunities to work with such a fine program as USC," Chow said. "It doesn't get much better at this level than this. But leaving would require me having another job first." So what are the Lions waiting for? The Fords should offer this man a blank check. -- Detroit Free Press WHY dont we get RID of Palmer and hire NORMA CHOW!! the guy is a winner and would probably make our offense alot better than "play not to lose" Palmer.
I love that idea. He is the only guy I would want as OC this offseason. His gameplanning is crazy good
Because Capers would still be the head coach and thus nothing would change offensively. You really think Palmer (and not Capers) is behind our lame playcalling?
I really doubt Capers would curb Chow's playcalling that much. Chow just knows how to gameplan in general. Besides being a great QB coach.
Chris Palmer was also known as a creative offensive mind before coming to the Texans. How quickly people forget.

I think if Pitt wins the superbowl we have a chance that our game with them next year could be a primetime affair. I would love a monday nighter.

The schedule is partly made up of a match up against an NFC division (the NFC West in this case w/ SF, STL, Seattle and Arizona) and partly based on the previous season's record (teams with records close to their's...a la Chiefs, Bills, Bungles, and Ravens). I'm not sure where Cleveland fits in other than I guess the NFL determined that the Texans should get a chance for revenge.
The way the schedule goes... you play a whole division in your conference. Also, you play the other teams in the conference that finished in the same place of their division as your team finished. Therefore, the Texans will be playing all the teams that finished in third place of their divisions in the AFC.
