Who wants to lobby the city to revoke whatever agreements it's signed with the Texans and NRG Stadium in light of the team clearly not taking its role as Houston's professional football team seriously at all? Maybe make the team start paying back a hefty chunk of that 43% public funding it received. Since this is such a farce, I'm not actually sure if I'm kidding or being serious.
I actually thought he did a decent job as GM. He could have handled the Clowney situation better. Outside of that he was decent.
Theres probably still 70% of the general Texans "fans" that are happy with this years results and are okay with this move. Sadly, that lobby wouldnt get very far. The only football games I will be attending will be Houston Roughnecks going forward.
Has anyone even seen Cal? Are we sure he is not in O'Brien's boarded up garage or something? The thread said Fire not freaking hire...
There are a ton of other roles they need to give to BoB. Need to consolidate this giant list. https://www.houstontexans.com/team/front-office-roster/
What has he done as a GM that makes you think he was good? He traded for 2 1st rounder for Tunsil. The Texans OLine this past year was ranked 20th by Pro Football Focus. They ranked 27th in pass blocking and 22nd in run blocking by Football Outsiders. They were 25th in sacks allowed and in the postseason by far had the most sacks allowed of any line. He traded for Duke Johnson and Kenny Stills. The Texans ranked 15th in passing yards and 14th in points despite playing in one of the worst divisions in football. They had an offensive DVOA of 19th according to football outsiders, if you want an analytics stats. Does that look like the type of person you want to run your team?
"I am proud that we provided our fans many thrilling victories at home." Like when we beat the Jags rookie QB 13-12? Yeah, that was exciting. The only move that I think was a clear win was the trade for Carlos Hyde. Other than that, we bought high and sold low. Tunsil is a good player, a pro bowler. But we got him because we paid a price literally no one else was willing to. Duke could've been a more valuable piece. But the way we used him, he wasn't worth a 3rd rounder.
Well we already knew he wasn’t going to be fired and he was already acting as GM so this news doesn’t mean much. However it is a big ****ing LOL and a Cal McNair **** you to the fans. I have your money and I can put a monkey in this spot and still take your money so shut the **** up and like it.
Ugh, Cal. Just sell the damn team already if you don't want to pay attention to what's going on with it.
The man is a Houston treasure. If Bun-B is Houston's unofficial mayor, Mad Max should be the unofficial Sergeant At Arms. Or just stay where he is, casting more shade on Twitter than the Amazon Rain Forest.
