This thread needs to stay. OP needed the Texans to suck to appreciate the Rockets. May the Texans keep losing if it leads OP to enjoy Rockets more. No real Rockets fan need another team to suck to appreciate what we have. We know what we have. Rockets are greatness and championship contenders irrespective of how much Texans suck and they do quite a bit of that.

I really blame the undeserved popularity on those casual fans, folks who just enjoy tail gating and drinking. See, Football is an easy sport to casually get into. The Majority of folks you see going to games are not even living and dying with the team. It's good ole Sunday fun and when they lose they go on their merry way and live life. It's easier to get a group of friends together and have their wives come along to a tail gate bbq to see a 2-5 texans team than to get them to come watch a Rockets game. People want to go to what feels like an Event and that's Sunday Football.
