Our defense is pathetic. We made Garrard look like a rich-man's college version of Vince Young. Fire Smith please.

FYI, when somebody says that, they mean first rounders and not overall #1's. We have spent a number of first round picks on defense.

What. So you're saying after 60 grueling minutes of hard fought football, you're willing to settle the outcome of the game on a coin flip on the basis of the game already being long enough?

The loss is on the defense for not adjusting as the game wore on and on Kubiak for getting punked for that TD by Del Rio.

The "it's too long!" excuse hasn't ever made sense to me. If college teams were starting on their own 25, sure. But by starting on the other team's 25, it would take three overtime periods to equate to two regular possessions in an NFL overtime. Usually, it's shorter than an NFL overtime. People just see the words "4 OT!!!!" and don't think of the substance behind it.

yea! because CFB has a great system!

nothing like losing one game and watching your entire season go up in flames.

I have to agree with you. The college OT is a joke. A 20-20 game can end up 48-41.

yeah let's overlook the fact that the NFL has superior athletes and played at a higher level, not to mention the men vs boys argument.

Gotta agree with The Cat here. I've always thought sudden death overtime was dumb. At least give the other team a chance to answer.

Once again this game was very winnable.

I'm impressed by schuab but again not impresse by kubiak.

4 home games in a row. 3 games theyll probaly be the favorites. It will be interesting

I don't like the NFL OT rules in general, but I don't see the argument that it's unfair. The defense had a shot to stop them and failed.

For those of you simultaneously arguing that no defense was going to stop an offense, and that they should use NCAA rules, you're arguing for a solution where the game would never end, since you've already decided the defenses are incapable of getting stops.

red herring, the game wasn't decided on a flip of the coin, it was decided on jax marching down the field on our defense

    Vince Young would've called heads.

But seriously, I agree, college OT is not only more fun, but it probably better decides winners than NFL's.

If their season goes up in flames because of a road loss in Game 3 of the season, the team wasn't going anywhere anyway.

True but all the other major sports I can think of give both teams a chance to score. For the same reason Houston should have a shot to score to answer Jacksonville, the Jaguars should be forced to play defense and prove they can stop the Texans after scoring themselves.

maybe they could use a better method of deciding who gets the ball first, like the team who had it last starts on defense, or something
