I know, that comparison wasn't too smart. He's lucky I didn't see it, thanks for rapping it up though.

No thanks. Nothing against Sproles, but assuming Slaton's back...we already have that type of back.

Rather than starting a new thread, I'll just post this here:

Jets are releasing Thomas Jones. If Texans are really looking for a veteran RB to spell Slaton, I'd rather have Jones than LT at this point. Jones has proven last year that he can still play at age 31. With limited duties he can still be an effective runner.

TJ has 2,280 total carries and LT has 2,880.

Bonus for TJ in that he didn't see his carries hit the bigtime until about 4-5 years ago... whereas LT went straight into fulltime duty almost in year 1...

If I'm buying based on mileage, gimme TJ.

relax francis, I was just responding to the post. green had a better ypc average that year also. my main point is that green was an underrated back. he played in system with bret farve in which bret was the man for most of his career and he still managed some good totals.

if mike holmgren wouldn't have held him on the bench in seattle because of his stupid rookie policy, in favor of the overrated ricky waters no less, Green would have a lot more total yards.

Well, I would be thrilled to have a runner who could put up the numbers of either Green or LT in their prime. But, I do not want LT at this point.
