Forget 4 years ago. Don't quote it. Don't think about it. He's a RB that's over the hill...they don't discover the fountain of youth, so reminiscing will only make you want him for no reason.

As for 12 TDs...I'd like to see something that detailed his opportunities inside the red zone and his conversion rate inside the 10 and inside the 5. Cause it wasn't good based on observation.

Norv Turner's force-feeding shouldn't make something seem better than it is.. that's my opinion

    1) The Texans miss almost every year.

    2) He is one somewhat positive, out of more than twice as many mistakes thru Free Agency.

    3) You tell that to the Indianapolis Colts, they've done that & done it very well, well enough to be in 2 of the last 4 Super Bowls.

There's really no such thing as "mere" with a running back.

4 years for an RB is like 6.5 years compared to every other athlete.

Ahman Green was a mere 4 years ago productive back when the Texans got him.

I would want the Texans to sign him so we at least get some pub and a couple of Nationally Televised games.

    As a player...no.

This is something that shouldn't be overlooked.

    The sizzle factor is there.

It would be a story line for sure.

After the draft, we'll see how serious the Texans are about LT.

I couldnt agree more. I am absolutely against signing LT. We have already tried the over the hill running back route. see Ahman Green.

    Not going to happen...

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...oining_texans_html-2010223&prov=nfp&type=lgns

The Houston Texans aren’t the landing spot for former San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson(notes).

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Texans won’t be addressing their running back need with Tomlinson.

    Why?

They’re wary of older backs after their experience with Ahman Green(notes).

Texans owner Bob McNair has indicated that the Texans, who had one of the worst running games in the league last season, want to upgrade their running game with a younger player.

As the report states, the Texans "want young and hungry, not a back looking for one last contract. That rules out Tomlinson."

Possible landing spots mentioned already for Tomlinson: the Green Bay Packers, New Engand Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings if they don’t re-sign Chester Taylor(notes).

So what was up with that report earlier saying they would be interested?

    Bleh.

Gimme somebody who doesn't fumble and can fall forward and I'll be happy.

I can't even name the 3rd string back in San Diego. I guess we can assume they'll be addressing RBs in the draft.

Jacob Hester? The return of the white running back? Toby Gerhart and Jacob Hester running the wishbone would be money!

Lol, as sad as that sounds, I would love to have that on this team. I'd also like someone that doesn't throw interceptions.

If the Texans is his preferred choice, how can you not seriously consider?...I get tired of hearing about Green, or Brown. Green never had hall of fame ability in his best year on his best game.. LT would go in right now!..Green was brought in to be the feature back, that is NOT the expectation of LT...Brown was always junk, the Texans just thought he might be a decent back up, not a game loser...

LT is going to be a red zone specialist, and has proven it probably better than any RB in history!..He is the David Beckham of football,.. ahem American football.

He has stated he is willing to mentor the younger RB's and that is a valuable intangible that can't be understated!

Let's give him a chance. Please...

Ahman Green was a monster for a few years...1900 yards rushing in a season is very impressive. Having said that, I agree with you.
