There is a deal in place with the Patriots so if the Texans offer a better contract he could still come to us. I think his agent is just playing words by saying its "not official" because he hasnt physically flown to New England yet to sign the contract. If hes still in Houston tommorow than thats a good sign but it seems more likely hes going back to New England

What bugs me the most is that Bob McNair sells out every Texans games so you know that man is making money. He needs to take some risks every once in a while and spend his damn money and stop being a cheap ass.

Look guys, Bodden may have wanted to go back to the Patriots all along. Just because we havent or wont sign him does not mean that we didnt open up our wallets or that we didnt try to get him.

All indications are that Bodden was interested in going back to New England all along. You guys want McNair to pay up, well, how much? I mean, if a player isnt worth 7-8 million to you, why would you spend that much?

    McNair called Morey ;)

I really do hope he comes to Houston, but I still believe he'll end up in NE. Hope I'm wrong!

That article says hes no longer IN houston which is not a good sign for us. I had the feeling before the visit that if he left our city without a contract than we lost him

Yep I agree. He used us and to get a free dinner the same way Orlando Pace did us about 5 or 6 years ago.

Gees no wonder McClain was so against the idea of Bodden coming here....getting free dinners, you know that got McClain riled up. Despite being "God's gift to Houston Sports", He still has to pay for 4th and 5th dinners when he goes out in Houston, and probably only gets discounts during 3rd lunch around 4 pm because he blends in with the old people at Luby's during Senoir Happy hour

    yeah no kidding wally.

fans are the same regardless of the sport. mcnair spent millions upon millions of his own jack to even get the nfl back to houston where it belongs at all. then he pays the payroll, and operates one of the classiest (read: expensive) organizations and facilities in the nfl. yet, somehow, ppl find a way to scream "cheap".

    stupid, stupid, stupid.

^^^Couldn't agree more. Part of the reason I'm a HUGE fan of the Texans. Following how much dough he put forward to even start a franchise here.

but ya, Anything that says HOUSTON on it I'm automatically a fan....unless it's a WNBA franchise.....(not sexist...just boring).

same old story. There is no desperation to win in this organization. You have 15 VP's and 10 layers within Texans, Inc.

I love the Texans and still root for them, the only time I get to see them is when they come play the Giants or Jets. This being said, with the current organizational structure and philosophy, the Texans WILL NEVER win a superbowl.

McNair thinks throwing money at 3rd Tier free agents will get us there.

Didn't the Saints build a super bowl team out of other teams scraps?
