Why should they care about a place they may not be in three seasons? I see absolutely nothing wrong with players not wanting to lose, even if it will help the team in a few years.
It's not their team. Their team is the people they are playing with right now, not whoever will be here 2 years from now.
Ha ha, this is funny. This story is being planted before the team pulls off one of the biggest tank jobs ever. Clever thinking. Besides, we might as well dare the Texans to win this game - it's not like they are undeservedly 2-13. For me, the icing on the cake has been that they are trying to win, getting oh so close, and yet still leading the Bush sweepstakes. I hope they give it every thing they have, and come up a little bit short once again.
OMG!! What do ya'll want them to say? That they want to tank the last game so bad because of Bush? These players/coaches were brought here to win, never in the history of the world will players/coaches say they want to lose to get a player. These guys are saying the right things, even if it's not what they really feel. It's understanding for fans to want them to tank the game for Bush, but it would be a sad day for sports if I ever heard players admit it.
i'm saying they care about winning. they care about their team on the field right then. and they have too much pride to justify intentionally losing a game.

Love the fact that they're not just lying on their backs for this game. They should play their hearts out. Both teams. The deserving team should get the first pick anyway, not intentional losers.
Blah blah blah. I want them to lose. If not for Bush (who might be fun, not saying I wouldn't pick him), then becomes they'll be able to get who (or the picks) they want. This current bunch? You should be saying something like, "Reggie would have problems gaining yardage here, because I suck so much." Or, "wow...you mean you're not using the #1 pick on my replacement?!?!" Or maybe even, "I suck too much to speak on behalf a pro football team."

Me thinks that the players will try to win just to spite the fans who want Reggie Bush, what does it matter for the players, most of them aren't going to be with the Texans under the new regime anyways.
