What's funny is that I actually thought some of the calls in the Falcons and Panthers games were far more egregious than that 3rd-and-2 in Cincy. In those other 2 games, he was continuously taking the ball out of CJ's hands, and forcing shitty running plays in the red zone when all we needed was a TD to ice the game. Against Cincy, he trusted his QB to make a big play to ice the game instead. Sure, it didn't work out, but that was mostly on CJ for not swallowing the ball when it was clear that the DB had the play sniffed out. But I liked the aggression in the moment, and I very much liked Slowik putting the ball in the hands of CJ. Stroud will learn from that, and never make that mistake ever again.
