We could have gotten Selvin no matter what. ANY TEAM could have gotten him.

Schaub, Nazis, and whatever else you want to throw in is completely irrelevant to this.

LOL! That Denver running game looked really formidable last night! :p

    Selvin Young 8 rushes 34 yds. 0 TD's. Denver rushing yds. 72.

Ron Dayne 11 rushes 67 yds
Darius Walker 13 rushes 66 yds Houston rushing yds. 158.

Looks like the pupil got the better of the teacher here to, huh! :D

I don't know about the NBA but he was a good high school basketball player at Jersey Village. My senior year on varsity he was a sophomore on junior varsity. I actually got to guard him alot cause varsity and jv were in 4th period and scrimmaged together. Marcus Hall, who is a senior at Colorado was a freshman on that junior varsity team too and both were called up for playoffs and both were on varsity the next year. In fact, he wore my number 33 after I graduated. Stoney's senior year he knew he was going to UT and Mack Brown said he couldn't play. Sucked but what if he had an injury that year and never got to where he is now, that would really suck.

I know, I know. I had to brag. I actually grew up with chamillionaire and paul wall too, like how I used to make fun of Hakeem(chamillionaire) cause I thought he spelt his name wrong because Akeem Olajuwon didn't spell it that way! He told me Akeem spelled it wrong and I LAUGHED at him! Anyway, nice to talk about knowing someone else kinda famous for a change.

I love Selvin Young, but you also have to take into account he's running for the Broncos. I think I could rush for 1,000 yards on the Broncos.

Man that Mack Brown is a great coach Selvin Young went from top 100 to undrafted. Chris Simms and Cory Redding went from national high school players of the year to 3rd round picks. If I hear one more person cry about the texans drafting another bonghorn I am going to puke.

I don't know what exactly you are talking about. For starters Texas has produced 5 of the top 19 current highest paid players.

If you are talking about college, u don't think guys like Vasher, Roy, Redding, and Scaife were baller sin college also?

    AHHH!!!!

Don't bring up Derick Johnson!!! Stupid Don Capers and his 3-4 defense. They didn't think DJ fit. We could have drafted him at our original draft position but we traded down and he was taken right before we came up.

Thank god we got Travis Johnson instead...

That's awesome that you grew up with Chamil and Paul. Olajuwon spells his name Hakeem though just so you know.

yes, i remember very well when he changed it. i was 10 and had kept up with Olajuwon's career my whole life. throw in that cham came to my house to rub it in my face that he hadn't spelled his name wrong so that i felt like an idiot for making fun of him, it would be hard to forget. When i read Olajuwon's book my 8th grade year it explained how it happened and that he didn't wanna seem disrepectful to UH and correct it. Then it just followed to the rockets and he still didn't tell them to change it. I have a huge assortment of Akeem and Hakeem basketball cards, even a raptors card. So yes, i was well aware he had changed the spelling of his name to Hakeem.

Why is it that UT fans act obnoxious and somehow blame the Texans whenever one of their former players does well in the NFL? You guys are quickly becoming worse than aggies

Who wants an over under on Longhorn fans crying about not drafting Charles next year, hell any other random guy UT guy. I'm surprised they haven't brought out the Fire Kubiak chants because he isn't playing Kasey Studdard.

What the hell man? UT has a lot of grads/students. Don't make such sweeping generalizations because of two people.
